On June 23rd, the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) with embarked 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) entered the US 5th Fleet area of responsibility – the Persian Gulf.

The ARG consists of the amphibious assault ship USS Boxer, the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS John P. Murtha, Harpers Ferry-class dock landing ship USS Harpers Ferry, the USNI Fleet Tracker showed.

“The BOXARG/11th MEU team is a flexible, adaptable and persistent force.” said Capt. Brad Arthur, commander, Amphibious Squadron (FIVE) 5. “All of our training and our transit to 5th Fleet have made us prepared to respond to any crises across the range of military operations.”

The 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit consists of the Command Element; the Aviation Combat Element comprised of Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 163 (Reinforced); the Ground Combat Element comprised of Battalion Landing Team 3/5; and the Logistics Combat Element comprised of Combat Logistics Battalion 11.

“Our training and preparation to enter the 5th Fleet area of operations has all been designed to ensure we can be ready where it matters, when it matters,” said Col. Fridrik Fridriksson, 11th MEU commander. “We’re a Navy and Marine Corps team fully capable of conducting operations across a full spectrum of conventional, unconventional and hybrid warfare.”

Upon arrival, the Boxer ARG relieved the Kearsarge ARG and 22nd MEU.

The Boxer ARG is to join the USS Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group (CSG), which arrived in the Persian Gulf, to deter mostly imaginary and unsubstantiated Iranian aggression.

With the arrival of the USS Boxer and Co., the US Navy has 28,000 personnel deployed in the Middle East, more than anywhere else in the world.

In comparison, the Navy currently has 24,000 personnel deployed to the Western Pacific and Indian Oceans, according to data reviewed by USNI.

This deployment came just days after US President Donald Trump signed an executive order, introducing sanctions against Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

“Today’s action follows a series of aggressive behaviors by the Iranian regime in recent weeks, including shooting down of U.S. drones,” Trump said, according to the White House transcript. “Sanctions imposed through the executive order that I’m about to sign will deny the Supreme Leader and the Supreme Leader’s Office, and those closely affiliated with him and the office, access to key financial resources and support. The assets of Ayatollah Khamenei and his office will not be spared from the sanctions.”

Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy commanders were subject to sanctions, following a US Treasury Department announcement.

In response to the sanctions, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that the Trump administration was “afflicted by mental retardation” and that the sanctions against Ayatollah Khamenei were “idiotic.”

Separately, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan on June 26th in Moscow.

Lavrov said that he discussed with the UAE diplomat the possibility to instate dialogue between the Arab countries in the Persian Gulf and Iran.

“My colleague and friend and I mentioned that we discussed the Persian Gulf situation today. It seems to me that our idea to create a dialogue between the Arab states of the Persian Gulf and Iran could serve as an alternative to the disastrous path the warmongers are trying to push the region down. Dialogue always helps to resolve differences in a peaceful way; at least it provides a strong opportunity.”

On his part, the UAE foreign minister said that the country couldn’t accuse Iran of attacking the tankers in the Gulf of Oman, since there was no conclusive evidence.

“We cannot accuse any nation at the moment because we don’t have indisputable proof,” he said.

“If other nations have more concrete information, I am sure the international community will gladly hear them out. But we have to be very serious and careful. It has to be reliable, scientifically confirmed information which would convince the international community.”

On June 25th, in a trilateral meeting Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, US National Security Adviser John Bolton and Israeli National Security Council chief Meir Ben-Shabbat and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Russia once again said that Iran was a close ally and that dialogue needs to be instated, since offensive actions and harsh rhetoric would lead to little success.

The US build up is continue 12000 miles away from American borders in Middle East.

FlorianGeyer

All too many Americans have no idea how far Iran and the US are from eachother.

FlorianGeyer

“US NAVY DEPLOYS USS BOXER ”

Iran fires one anti ship missile when the USS Boxer attempts to attack Iran and sinks the ship :)

Icarus Tanović

Hahahahaha, that’s right!?

Assad must stay (gr8rambino)

Lol do they not know that more boats just means more targets for iran to sink?

FlorianGeyer

I don’t think the US Military have worked that one out. That’s what comes of killing women and children for too long I suppose.

BMWA1

I am thinking of Dieppe landing on French shores by the Canadian forces in 1942, Gallipoli landing by ANZAC forces in 1915, the Spanish Armada off the Channel in 1588…

Assad must stay (gr8rambino)

what happened?

Tommy Jensen

I and Bolton are in with the 5% intelligent.

Dick Von Dast'Ard

You are with the 5% most delinquent.

opet ja

Ha ha what are you and Bolton going to do? Start a nuclear attack because it is the only way US would win hypothetical war against Iran. Otherwise, stay faaaaar awaaaay.

occupybacon

I think Bolton belongs to the 19%

FlorianGeyer

Pleased to hear that Tommy.

Who knows, part of the 5% today and the 0.1 % tomorrow :)

Sinbad2

What America’s thinking, durka dur.

RichardD

They’re not exactly gung ho for another war in the middle east for Israel. They’ve wised up to that scam.

Alberto Garza

the funny thing is that many “americans” cannot even place iran on map if u tell them that is near alaska they will believe it .

RichardD

Do you have proof of that?

chris chuba

They might be able to secure bin Salman’s palace, I bet they can even intimidate the Iraqi govt in Baghdad and get them to sign anti-Iranian measures into law but they can’t beat the IRGC in Iran.

Home turf advantage and the IRGC can fight and what about morale, can our guys sustain any combat in someone else’s country without breaking down, I mean how brainwashed do you have to be. In Afghanistan, we have a few patrols calling in air strikes, been doing that for at least 5yrs.

FlorianGeyer

An IED campaign against US troops squatting in Iran would be an option. It worked before with far more US troops in Iraq.

RichardD

It looks like most Americans aren’t buying Zionist lies about Iran.

FlorianGeyer

I am very pleased about that. Its about time Americans researched other opinions, instead of taking what the US Fake Media peddles as genuine facts.

RichardD

I agree completely. And Jew owned companies like Jewoogle are trying to make sure that when they do the research that the truth about Jew lies, crime and evil can’t be found.

BMWA1

Sounds like Ukrainian electoral system.

Dick Von Dast'Ard

What they going do, spell out “YMCA” on the flight deck or something?

RichardD

Help stage the next false flag?

Dick Von Dast'Ard

That’s the MEK’s (CENTERRORCOM backed Iranian inserted terrorists) job isn’t it?

Assad must stay (gr8rambino)

Iran needs to blow up their headquarters

FlorianGeyer

The Pentagon ? :)

Assad must stay (gr8rambino)

and the MEK base in albania

FlorianGeyer

Is that where MEK practice torture on ‘organ donors’?

Assad must stay (gr8rambino)

Don’t know

John Whitehot

yea, but one thing is to drop some buildings in the US with airliners, the other is to succesfully invade a country that is willing to defend itself – at a point where flase flags have been so abused by zionists that hardly nobody around the world believes a word of that shit anymore.

FlorianGeyer

Only on US Navy fancy dress days I think :)

Geoff Griffiths

Maybe “LGBTQ” on the fight deck!

Dick Von Dast'Ard

Don’t be surprised if Trump orders the USS John.S.McCain (DDG-56) to cruise slowly, (3 knots) up and down, three miles off the Iranian coast, in order to get it sunk or captured.

IMHO

Trump didn’t call off any air strikes because he was worried about Iranian casualties.

FlorianGeyer

Yeah, right :)

IMHO

I’m not sure if you are agreeing or being sarcastic. Trump is not worried about Syrian casualties or Yemeni casualties, neither of which has attacked the U.S.. He didn’t strike Iran because he is worried about American casualties.

FlorianGeyer

I was agreeing with you :)

Uppity White Man

No the message was sent to Iranians that are anti-Mullah that he will support their uprising, unlike Obama who stabbed them in the back.

IMHO

I don’t know how you come to that conclusion. Trump didn’t respond because he was afraid of American casualties.

Uppity White Man

It’s not the casualties, per se. It is the message, that was the point. The mullahs were nearly toppled by the citizens of Iran during the Green Revolution However, when they called on Obama and the U.S. for help. Obama turned his back and they were slaughtered,

Bolton has said several times the U.S, will back the people this time.I think this was a message from the president in a subtle way. But, I may be wrong. But it makes little sense otherwise. It may be part of a coded message??

As far as American casualties, are you talking in general or this mission?

IMHO

As far as I know there is no uprising in Iran at the moment though you are right that the U.S. is always trying to kindle unrest in other countries in order to further it’s agenda. As far as American casualties I am talking about those who would be killed in an Iranian counter attack. The point is that Trump didn’t “call off” strikes for fear of Iranian casualties. For Trump to say that is an insult to intelligent people.

Uppity White Man

Yes, it is a good idea to cause internal unrest in the country of your enemy. A tactic as old as Sun Tzu.

Tommy Jensen

Guided by the beauty of our weapons. We Americans won again!

Alberto Garza

they are going to get SUNBURNED

Trump can’t attack anybody, he is too weak. The deep state is trying their best to create a war, any war, anywhere. And if they succed they ll be backing the other side just to see Trump fail so they can put another one of their puppets in the White House. The biggest losers out of all this I guess must be the American middle class taxpayer, the American soldier, marine, sailor, airforce pilot etc …
