This was a 4 million dollar whoops .That’s it, now it’s coming out of their paychecks!
how many dollars were whoops in case of crashing russian planes, which were not able to land on kuznetsov? :P
How many dollars has the US wasted on planes that have failed to land on their aircraft carriers? :p” and that’s a raspberry for you.
usre less then ruskies. it is a big shame, when from 15 startrs lost 2 planes. americans lose 1 from 10 000 starts :D
Well as of 2014 according to Navy Safety center 12,000 aircraft , and even when they claimed it was safe as the Tarmac from 1948-1988 8500 marines and sailors lost their lives, lets not forget that when they are landing they have to decrease the speed of 150 mph to safely land on that tiny strip. The aircraft carrier can move on 6 axis points such as surge, sway, heave, pitch, roll and yaw, carrier landings are the most difficult thing to do. The Canadian Navy had tried landings on barges in the first World War with the SE Sopwith Pups which were made as a naval plane. They had many failures and very little successes for the exact same reasons and even had a hook to catch the plane.
