On March 1st, the US Treasury Department targeted 6 six security officials loyal to Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, for blocking the humanitarian aid from entering Venezuela.

“Former President Nicolas Maduro’s border blockades of trucks and ships loaded with humanitarian aid are the latest example of his illegitimate regime weaponizing the delivery of food and critically needed supplies in order to control vulnerable Venezuelans. We are sanctioning members of Maduro’s security forces in response to the reprehensible violence, tragic deaths, and unconscionable torching of food and medicine destined for sick and starving Venezuelans,” said Treasury Secretary Steven T. Mnuchin. “The United States strongly supports the efforts of Interim President Juan Guaidó, and Treasury will continue to target Maduro loyalists prolonging the suffering of the victims of this man-made humanitarian crisis.”
The sanctioned individuals are as follows:
- Richard Jesus Lopez Vargas, a Major General and the Commanding General of the Venezuelan National Guard, or the Guardia Nacional Bolivariana, commonly referred to as the GNB, as well as a member of the High Command of the GNB;
- Jesus Maria Mantilla Oliveros, a Major General and the Commander of Strategic Integral Defense Region Guayana, or the Región Estratégica de Defensa Integral Guayana, commonly referred to as REDI Guayana;
- Alberto Mirtiliano Bermudez Valderrey, the Division General for the Integral Defense Zone in Bolivar State, or Zona Operativa de Defensa Integral del estado Bolivar, commonly referenced to as ZODI Bolivar State, bordering on Brazil;
- Jose Leonardo Norono Torres, the Chief Commissioner of the FAES in Tachira State. Additionally, Dominguez was the Director of Operations of the FAES. Worryingly he was quoted saying that the purposes of FAES “was to fulfill the function of eradicating organized criminal mafias engaged in smuggling and extortion, and that the most important focus of the FAES is to fight paramilitary groups at the border, who attack the population and encourage economic warfare. Despite that they allegedly target protesters and opposition supporters to quell protests;
- Cristhiam Abelardo Morales Zambrano, the Director of the PNB and a Colonel within GNB. In early 2018, as the Regional Chief of the PNB in Tachira State, Morales was responsible for the escape of several convicts imprisoned in a PNB building in Tachira State.
As per standard sanction procedure all their assets in the US are frozen and citizens are generally prohibited from any sort of dealings with the sanctioned individuals and entities.
These sanctions follow the targeting of 4 Venezuelan governors loyal to Maduro on February 25th.

On February 28th, the US State Department announced that the visas of 49 Venezuelan individuals were revoked.
“Maduro supporters that abuse or violate human rights, steal from the Venezuelan people, or undermine Venezuela’s democracy are not welcome in the United States. Neither are their family members who enjoy a privileged lifestyle at the expense of the liberty and prosperity of millions of Venezuelans.”

Present is an interactive map that provides necessary information to receive aid, plus it presents the opportunity to learn more about US assistance to Venezuelans in the region. It has no information about wire and nails that were found in the truck burned on February 23rd.
Meanwhile, Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez visited Moscow and met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on March 1st.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Russia was stepping up shipments of wheat and was considering sending more medical supplies after shipping 7.5 tonnes worth.
“We are very closely cooperating and coordinating all our steps in the international arena,” Lavrov said. “This has acquired special significance now that Venezuela is facing a frontal attack and unabashed interference in its domestic affairs,” he added.
US Special Representative for Venezuela Elliot Abrams warned that the Russian aid may be used as a “political weapon” by Maduro’s government, giving it only to supporters.
“Obviously we are in favor of giving humanitarian assistance to Venezuela; we are not in favor of giving it to this corrupt regime,” Abrams told reporters in Washington.
Lavrov voiced hope that international pressure would “cool hotheads in Washington” who he said are seeking military intervention in Venezuela.
He alleged that the United States was planning to buy small arms, mortar launchers, and shoulder-fired anti-aircraft missiles from an “Eastern European country” and station them “close to Venezuela.”
Delcy Rodriguez also announced that Maduro ordered the relocation of the European headquarters of Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) from Lisbon to Moscow.
“Europe does not offer guarantees of respect for our assets. President Nicolas Maduro has instructed that the PDVSA office in Europe, which is located in Lisbon, be transferred to Moscow,” Rodriguez said. “The capitalist world violates its own laws.”
Venezuela will also expand its energy cooperation with Russian oil companies such as Rosneft and Gazprom. According to Rodriguez, the Venezuelan authorities “have no doubt” that these announcements are made at the right moment.

The nations that are under threat from Zionist and robber NATO should be prepared for a preemptive strike on US/ NATO bases once they are busy killing, destroying and robbing Venezuela.
There is no sign of lessons learned and no sign of the bloodbath the Jewnited States of Murica i forcing the world into.
So while Venezuela is in the middle of the coming war, every NATO and US base abroad should be a subject of hypersonic visitors.
The US is weak and broken, Their army a bunch of corrupted crap with old ships etc.
Use the hypersonic upper hand or die I would say to China and Russia.
Good on you Russia. Keep safe, stay strong and keep going.
The US continues to isolate itself, not understanding that isolationism is hastening the end of its hegemony.
I am reminded of Oesop’s classic fable of the man whose girl had a shower and he tried to lick her until she was dry. Of course she only became more and more moist. Yet, he kept on trying.
LOL, sounds good to me.
the article lays out the anglozionist playbook very nicely. nothing new here except that no one is buying it this time. RU and CN know the script by heart. VE got it right by moving PDVSA offices out of Lisbon. No one trusts europe and that is the way it should be. it ain’t over but i don’t think the AZ have anything new in the pipeline. hey jaun guano watch your back. you may turn out to be a martyr w/o sainthood as your handlers decide you are worth more dead than alive. you silly tool.
Venezuela is playing ahead of the curve. `The trucks blocking the bridge for instance, were put there because they knew what was coming, way before the trouble showed up. Russia is probably giving more aid than the US at this point, probably was from the start. Venezuela will weather this I’m my opinion. The US tried the coup ala Turkey, they tried the bums rush diplomatically. What the US is actually trying to get, is now out of reach. This was an extremely dumb move on it’s part. It’s over so stick a fork in it, except for the screaming and carrying on. Nobody is going remember who Guaidó was in the end. My take folks. I wish a good day to all.
Well, are you USAmerican? Other peoples don’t have chronic amnesia so Guaidó will be remembered… in infamy.
Why does everybody ask if I am American?
Venezuela will weather this, I agree. The United Snakes will be humiliated on their own doorstep. Soon, they will find it hard to bully any country, or to get any players to help them.
‘Will the brazen arrogance of “the Yankees” be enough to seriously red-pill the people of Venezuela and the rest of Latin America?’ The Saker suggests in this:

If the situation were not so serious and in danger of becoming dire, the US statements would be hilarious (if not sickening). Accusing Venezuela of things that are lies and at the same time are the very things the US itself does. “These officials are involved in corruption & blocking the delivery of critical humanitarian aid, exacerbating the ongoing humanitarian crisis”…sounds more like the US in Syria. “in response to the reprehensible violence, tragic deaths, and unconscionable torching of food and medicine destined for sick and starving Venezuelans”… are they speaking about the Guanos that burned a man alive? Of course not, any more than they would admit that it was their own proxies that burned the ‘aid’ trucks. But the US is not so concerned with their ‘plight’ that they would consider lifting their sanctions, that would be sending the wrong message, eh? They intend to ‘help’ by instigating violence, destruction and ‘democracy’. The world is onto the US, but that doesn’t stop it’s flunkys from falling in step with them. The lies they tell are so gregarious, it stuns the mind. Yes sir, they’ve learned from the Israelis well. Why, the Donald could even write a new bestseller about it all…The Art of the Lie.
‘The lies they tell are so gregarious, it stuns the mind.’ Lies that like to hang out with other lies and untruths? I think you mean ‘egregious’. Nice malapropism though! and I agree with your comment.
Thanks. I was going more for the 2nd definition: 2. Tending to move in or form a group with others of the same kind…egregious would have been a more ‘direct’ choice, but less sarcastic.
with the morons there is one thing that is a certainty, namely that they can’t take one intelligent and rational decision, they are all fraught with senility and a sickening case of hubris, which has no touch of reality, just seriously sick ideas of invincibility and a desperate need to hide the truth from the average tax paying american.
the vets can fix it in a short span of time – arrange a veterans demonstration in dc, say 1 to 2 million vets with an intent to wrestle the power from the corrupt and criminal cabal in washington dv – guess they’ll find it an interesting experience to actually be part of a regime change. and if a regime change is required anywhere. it’s in washington dc.
As the US attacks more nations, those nations will move their assets to safety in Russia. At some point the value of the US dollar will suffer as countries avoid it to protect their assets. With Russia Iran and Venezuela ditching the dollar, the petrodollar is doomed, possibly to be replaced by a gold backed petroRuble. Although the offer of a petroEuro might get the ghouls in Brussels to rethink their subservience to the USA.
The Americans are no longer content to shoot themselves in the foot, now they are aiming for the head.
Getting shot in the head is just a consequence of shooting themselves in the ass.
