US Senate To Ban Weapon Supplies To Turkey Over Its S-400 Deal With Russia. Turkey Responds

On June 18, the US Senate adopted the National Defense Authorization Act [a military budget] for fiscal year 2019. The act obliged the US Defense Secretary to present a special report on a Turkish-Russian deal on delivery of S-400 air defense systems to Ankara.

According to the document, not later than 60 days after the date of the enactment of the Authorization Act, “the Secretary of Defense, in consultation with the Secretary of State, shall submit to the appropriate congressional committees a report on the status of the United States relationship with the Republic of Turkey.”

The report has to include “an assessment of the potential purchase by the Government of Turkey of the S-400 air and missile defense system from the Russian Federation and the potential effects of such purchase on the United States-Turkey bilateral relationship, including an assessment of impacts on other United States weapon systems and platforms operated jointly with Turkey to include the F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike aircraft; the Patriot surface-to-air missile system; the CH-47 Chinook heavy lift helicopter; the AH-1 Attack helicopter; the H-60 Black Hawk utility helicopter; and the F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft.”

The National Defense Authorization Act says that the Defense Secretary is not allowed to take any action “to execute delivery of a foreign military sale for major defense equipment subject to congressional notification to the Republic of Turkey until the Secretary submits to the appropriate congressional committees the report.”

On June 19, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu commented on this sutuation by saying that his country will purchase the S-400 defense systems despite this situation.

“What laws will you [the United States] apply to impose sanctions on the purchase of the S-400? This is a wrong approach; it will lead to a crisis. We have purchased the S-400 and let’s stop talking about this,” Cavusoglu told NTV channel. “This is an unfortunate development. But Turkey will not be left without an alternative. We regret such actions taken by the US Senate; they contradict the spirit of strategic partnership.”

He also slammed Washington for “creating artificial crises is the West’s style.”

The delivery of F-35 fighter jets is one of the key issues impacted by the National Defense Authorization Act. On May 25, Turkish Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hami Aksoy said that Turkey country could take measures against the US if the US refuses to supply F-35 jets to his country.

Good, bye bye USA. I know this is the begining of he end of the American Empire. The future of the Middle East will be: Moscow, Damascus, Beirut, Teheran, Bagdad and maybe Ankara, with the support of China. Anyway keep one eye to the criminals Israeli. Keep them in the cage.

You can call me Al

Did you miss a word ? – you state “I know this is the beginning of the American Empire.”

Icarus Tanović

Of the end of this and that empire.

You can call me Al

Yep, let us all hope.

Promitheas Apollonious

I am sure you trying to say something. Try again.

Icarus Tanović

Huh?!

Siegfried

A little optimistic, don’t you think so? You seem to forget that little Jaffa-rvnt in your “equation” And TEHRAN is the big-prize in that equation, the next USraeli big, fat Zionist war, will be against IRAN, Syria is just a warm-up..

Angelo Cinarelli

Im waiting to see your end, criminal USA. Already forgot The VIET NAM lesson…..why you do not try with Nord Korea? After 16 years You cant win a war against a bounch of Afgan Shepherd maybe with North Korea Or Iran ….try baby try!! :)

Thom Kinoshta

yes you can ,but the Soviets lost because of the USA. now Russia is paying back the favor by selling all the weapons the Taliban can buy.

Thom Kinoshta

not really, but I hope the US does not take control of more of the world. USA annexed Ukraine except for Crimea and Donbass. Europe needs to join Russia and kick out the USA. USA wants a war in Europe desperately.

PZIVJ

Kick the US out of Incirlik! It’s all good news. :)

Wise Gandalf

Are you sure? In that case enormously will rise the significance of Kurdistan.

Sinbad2

What’s with the Yoda talk?

Wise Gandalf

You in Austalia are as foreign element as jews in Palestine. You accupay the land of aborigins. And in New zealand land of maoris. So, you are zionist in your heart.

Rex drabble

You are an idiot.

uncle tungsten

Thanks wise gandalf but you are occupying the land of the Sumerians I take it or maybe the Picts. Whatever but the real takeaway here is that Australia can purchase the S-400 system and then be free of the hopeless F35 deal it signed up to. That is a real good solution to the original yankee snake oil deal.

Now back to the occupy story…… just who is not on occupied land??? There is strong evidence that the Aboriginal Australians actually moved into the rest of the global landmasses 10’s of thousands of years ago. So you too might be on their land. I want to know who is occupying Atlantis and what did they find there?

Wise Gandalf

1st, sumerians does not exist now. aborigins and moairus yes

2nd, i am not in ME.

PZIVJ

Kurdistan is a dead dream. Because the countries within that territory will not allow it, I call it the “Al Bab” agreement. Are you wise like King Solomon? :D

Wise Gandalf

Wiser.

PZIVJ

And how is this a valid reply to my post? We have become wiser with age and I have improved my English skills on this site, same goes for you. BTW: an elf in Hobbit land can hit a target with arrow dead nuts. My point :D

Barba_Papa

Kurdistan is landlocked and isolated. Completely dependent on resupply through foreign territory and airspace. Not the best place to station a large US force there. All the more so since US forces come with an incredibly large logistical tail. Just look at how vulnerable US and NATO forces are in Afghanistan. Completely dependent on Pakistan for resupply. The very country that is basically supporting the very enemy they are fighting in Afghanistan.

Wise Gandalf

Kurdistan, plus southes syrian arab state, jordan, and is not isolated ;)

Barba_Papa

Kurdistan is not in geographical contact with Jordan. As it stands Kurdistan is surrounded by Turkey, Iran, Iraq and the mainstay of Syria under Assad’s control. Who together have no love whatsoever for Kurdistan and if they wanted to cut off from the world they can. As such Kurdistan is isolated.

RichardD

The issue that needs to be determined with the Turks is if they’re carrying out a land grab and partition in northern Syria for Israel and the Jew world order, or are they disarming the terrorists as part of insuring their own security and restoring Kurd controlled areas to Syrian government administration. Setting up Israelistan in northern Syria is going to lead to Yinon plan partition and secession efforts in Turkey itself. Which is counter productive to Turkish and regional security.

Promitheas Apollonious

yes but that was the plan from the beginning. The question is how the syrians will react to this when they done cleaning, all the rest first.

RichardD

Idlib may be cleared before east of the river. So that will help determine where the Turks are at.

Promitheas Apollonious

That is up to the syrians I am sure they know things we dont know and base on that they decide when and where. Personally I am at their side. So I watch and if possible learn from their actions and decision patent.

Siegfried

“… they [the Syrians] know things we don’t know”. Like what Putin “got suggested” by Bibi in a “transaction” like Russian global interests (Crimea, G8, no sanctions, Ukraine fifty-fifty..) in exchange for Israeli interests in the Middle-East?

Promitheas Apollonious

in your fantasy yes. In reality you have no idea what you bullshitting about.

uncle tungsten

Turkey is next on the list for partition. Erdy has blindly walked in to his own trap. Now lets see we can have the entire eastern Turkey handed back to Armenia, the south eastern regions back to the Kurds and the ‘Turks’ can share the western enclave with with, with, the North Bank of Israel.

Its a goer for sure.

Siegfried

“US Senate To Ban Weapon Supplies To Turkey Over Its S-400 Deal With Russia. Turkey Responds”

Oh yeah!… And the little-Trump on Bosporus will buy SU-35, “Armata”-tanks and “Pantsir” Well done, USA! :))))) Interesting… but Trump didn’t freeze the 150 Billions weapons-deal with the SAUDIS as they announced the intention to to buy the same S-400. That with Turkey is again an ISRAELI, not American decision…

Wise Gandalf

Sure not. They will buy weapons from germany and france.

Len Zegelink

he erdo look out from a regime changs.

Merijn

WE ARE THE U.S. of A…. And WE Dictate the World How to Behave…..And Y’all Better Start Listening or We’ll COME TO KICK YOUR ASSES…well actually OUR HEADCHOPPING MERCS Will kick your asses…

Thom Kinoshta

actually that how it works

Tommy Jensen

Before everybody were afraid Turkey would sell the S-400 technology to US. Now everybody is afraid Turkey will sell F35 technology to Russia. Its not an easy to be a strategic donkey.

Sinbad2

This will save Turkey a lot of money. If Turkey had bought the F35’s, the US would have withheld spare parts. If Turkey had cancelled the order, the US would have kept Turkey’s money. Because the US is refusing to deliver, the US will have to refund Turkey.

Mustafa Mehmet

America will delivery F35 on time not to worry . They can stop it

Smaug

As usual Russia follows the logic of ‘my enemy’s enemy is my friend,’ although I don’t know how the US could have avoided supplying the Turks with weapons without driving them into Russia’s sphere of influence. Germany already did this a while back, too. . I recall that a similar situation occurred in the ’50s and ’60s in Egypt where NATO countries wanted to avoid arming the Egyptians (for various reasons), so the Egyptians started buying Soviet weapons but to avoid being controlled by Moscow they signed favorable trade deals with Washington. This could be a good model in this case.

Wise Gandalf

As usual Russia follows the logic of ‘my enemy’s enemy is my friend

this is old jewish logic. and therefore always lost everything. again and again.

Sinbad2

The oldest known expression of “the enemy of my enemy” is Indian, drink your Brawndo.

Wise Gandalf

Invader, shut up!

Smaug

That logic drove the Lend-Lease program in WWII, France and Spain’s support of Revolutionary America, Finland’s involvement in Operation Barbarossa, the Soviet’s support of anti-colonial movements, Kosovo’s alliance with NATO, Iran’s support of the Houthis, America’s alliance with the Saudis and the Kurds, Egypt’s easy submission to Alexander the Great, Nazi Germany’s alliance with Imperial Japan and so forth. . I see nothing Jewish or inevitable failure to any of this.

Rodger

Like crack-dealer getting snobbish Do they expect people to believe buying their gear at inflated cost is a privilege?

Real Anti-Racist Action

It saves Turkey money anyway. When Israel starts to bomb the Turkish people into extinction, it saves every body time if Israel does not have to start by bombing S-400 with F-35I’s. The Turks time is coming soon, soon Israel will be expanding further. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=4&v=Gy3t-UUQiyY SOURCE: https://dailystormer.name/312029-2/
