The US-led coalition carries out airstrikes only on terrorists and extremists in Iraq, while Russia and Syria bomb civilians, including the ‘moderate’ opposition, in Syria, spokesman for the US Department of State, John Kirby, said during a briefing. In this way, the US representative once again stressed the fact that military operations in Aleppo and Mosul cannot be compared.
“It [situations in Mosul and Aleppo] is radically different, and I have seen comments by the Russian Foreign Ministry, in fact, I think Foreign Minister Lavrov in particular about how it is the same. And it is absolutely not the same, and to compare the two is frankly insulting,” Kirby said.
According to the spokesman for the US Department of State, there are virtually no terrorists in Aleppo, and Russia and Syria attack the ‘moderate’ opposition and civilians. Apparently, Kirby did not have time to read a statement of the UN Special Envoy for Syria, Staffan de Mistura, who actually said about the identity of ‘moderate rebels’ and terrorists, since these ‘rebels’ shell the western neighborhoods of Aleppo and humanitarian corridors, which civilians try to use to leave the city. Mistura noted that such actions of the ‘moderate’ opposition should be considered as unambiguous war crimes.
Kirby also added that the US would encourage airstrikes of the Russian Aerospace Forces and the Syrian Air Force on the Jabhat Fateh al-Sham (previously known as the Al-Nusra Front) in Syria, but Russia does not work so precisely and carefully as the coalition in Mosul.

Agree, I would go one further I would say a stupid tool. He is required to take these positions as part of the job, making him a tool. The way he sells it and in many cases believes it is what make him stupid!

“Jabhat Fateh al-Sham (previously known as the Al-Nusra Front)”. Using the word “SHAM” in their name might not have been the wisest choice of words, if they really want us to believe they’ve changed their allegiance. “We’re GOOD GUYS now; REALLY!”
