USA Asks Russia For Meeting To Discuss 'Future Of Deir Ezzor' - Russian Media

AFP 2017 / George Ourfalian

The US has suggested Russia to hold a meeting to discuss a future of Deir Ezzor, the Russian state-run media outlet RIA reported citing a diplomatic source.

According to the report, the American side idea is to hold a meeting this week and to discuss possible “zones of responsibility” to combat ISIS in Deir Ezzor.

In other words, Washington wants to set up a de-confliction zone in eastern Syria.

RIA’s source added that Russia has already provided own suggestions, including a map, to the US.

On September 5, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) supported by the Russian Aerospace Forces broke the ISIS siege on the strategic city of Dier Ezzor and set a foothold for further advances in eastern Syria. The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) reacted announcing own advance against ISIS north of Deir Ezzor on September 9.

On September 16, the SDF and the US-led coalition accused Russian forces of bombing the SDF north of Deir Ezzor. On September 18, the Russian Defense Ministry said that government forces have crossed the Euphrates.

It looks that the US-led coalition is loosing the race for eastern Syria. So, it now wants to negotiate some “diplomatic solution” of this situation.

Heh, american idiots “zones of responsibility”, f**k.

JPH

Indeed future of Deir Ezzor is Syrian and any other option is off the table.

r0b1n

Of course.

BMWA1

How about ‘Zones of Irresponsibility’ wherever Pentagram is involved.

Jorge Sotomayor

Remember what negotiations means for the U.S. government…ask the american natives. Zionists and and anglo-saxon dreams blown to pieces by the resistance 6+1 that’s what i like it!!!

Rüdiger Preiss

“The US has suggested Russia to hold a meeting to discuss a future of Deir Ezzor” This sentence in itself couldn’t be more ridiculous. Is that some script writing for a Trump stand up comedy show ???

Tom Tom

Obomber would have done the same thing since he was the same type of puppet (dropped more bombs than bush and killed more people = same thing).

Gladius et Scutum

To be fair, these ‘negotiations’ are being run by the US State department. The US State Dept has long been a haven of incompetents and communists (going back to at least the 1930s) and has consistently tried to run foreign policy on its own without regard to the President. A great example is the State Department manufacturing Ngo Din Diem’s assassination against the express orders of President Kennedy, and against the advice of the military, the CIA, and the State Department’s own ambassador in Vietnam.

Rex Tillerson may or may not be a good Secretary of State, but 8 months is not nearly enough time to root out deeply entrenched stupidity, incompetence, pigheadedness, corruption, and treason.

Russia to US: “Thanks for your map, you land-and-oil thieves, but we like our maps of Deir EzZor better than yours.” US to Russia: “Unacceptable! We demand the SDF’s legally stolen Syrian land and oil. There must be a US-owned air corridor on the east side of Syria. We have a right to protect our war booty.” Russia to US: “Come and get it, you arrogant bastards. Oh yeah, Deir EzZor airport is open. Surprise! We should have the S-400 set up in no time. Please be sure to deconflict with our mach 3 surface-to-air missiles. We will hold the US responsible for any damage to those missiles while in flight. Their 1000 lb. warheads are very fragile.”

Manie

Syria, Russia and allies to the U.S… How about Nyet!!!! The arrogance is mind blowing. Great article about the power of Nyet.. see link below from Zero Hedge http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-07-28/power-nyet-how-one-word-staggered-imperial-washington

Love it! (btw, how did you do the bold font?)

Used the ‘b’ tag. Disqus says to use ‘strong’ but I’m old school: HTML tags allowed in Disqus

South Front may further restrict which of the above tags work in their comments.

Got it!

hahahahha i love it :))

Boris Kazlov

I hope that Russia and Putin can finally muster the cojones to talk back to muricans that way. Muricans are doing just what Kerry did when sensing Aleppo was lost, running to Russia to save his turf.

Pave Way IV

Talking to the leaders and diplomats of my country – the US – is pointless. It’s like talking to chimpanzees. Best picture ever, courtesy of ZeroHedge https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/2b549d03d0f8531582f1e8d81867dfd687d5829e5c244318fde777072ad9c228.png Putin insists on giving Kerry another banana to calm him the f#ck down about Syria. Lavrov is pissed because this would be the third banana so far. He figures Kerry is just gaming them for more snacks. Kerry is expecting yet another banana -and- Russia to give up on Syria. He will start flinging his own poop at the Russians if they do not meet his demands. Putin has ordered security to ‘neutralize’ Kerry if he chimps out.

gold37

You can’t negotiate from a position of weakness.

neutrinox

Yes but they count on Nikki as decisive thunder-voice in UN. (Zuuuuuuuuuus)

gold37

I respect your position however, UN is obsolete.

neutrinox

Sorry, brackets are /s.

Russia should take this map to the meeting. :DDD https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/18d8347fc614a2665eed66f829c8e5d6f2d8df9e1423aaeca8e8a4511260e80b.jpg

I thought I was being questioned by Richard for a second. LOL

According to color

north is syria Central is sdf south is isis

Moussa Saab

Stars is the FSA

palebluedot

Not 2 green stars. FSA has 3 red stars.

I love that map.

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

SDF is Yellow so there is no place for them, as ISIS now fly the Yellow color too! Looks like they need to find some new roommates.

Moussa Saab

Lol I was just going to do that too!

FlorianGeyer

Brilliant :)

gustavo

Indeed, Russia has said many times to USA that this is the map of future Syria. I hope Russia continue thinking the same way.

BMWA1

Well Gustavo, they crossed there river after all (SAA High Command must have read your SF comments!).

gustavo

Yes, I noticed that…finally they are in the other side of the river. With the Russian intelligent and strong air support from aerospace force, sure next week will be the end of SDF ( USA puppets) aspirations about stealing Syria oil fields,

Zainab Ali

if things go pretty ugly between russia and yankees, china might step in hopefully joining the russia led coalition side … how about that to the zio satanic losers and their lapdog govts worldwide

Antonovs

Hey US how about the following: get the hell out of Syria and and let Syria, Russia and Iran finish the job.

EmilyEnso

USA Asks Russia For Meeting To Discuss ‘Future Of Deir Ezzor’ – Russian Media

They can ask all they like but there is only one answer.

None of your business and get your butts out of Syria. You have no legal right to be there – you have mass murdered, destroyed and plotted against the legal government – you have never been invited – so s*d off and get lost. And start collecting for reparations – it could be a big bill.

FlorianGeyer

Yes and demand all US reparations in Roubles. :)

Arthur Smith

There aren’t enough roubles for that.

FlorianGeyer

That would increase the value of the rouble :)

Arthur Smith

There is no benefit from increasing the value of currency you don’t control and can’t emit.

FlorianGeyer

That’s the point. If enemies of the US trade in alternative currencies they will rise as the dollar declines. The US would also have to buy in other currencies if the seller insisted.

Arthur Smith

Rouble is not an alternative currency, it’s not even a proper currency domestically – just a tool for extortion. So because of that it’s currently useless for russians.

FlorianGeyer

There we must disagree.

Arthur Smith

Well, come and simmer a bit in rossiyan commerce or maybe buy some roubles and watch them wither into nothingness thanks to monetary policy of colonial administration =)

FlorianGeyer

Enjoy your 20 trillion and rising rapidly US dollar DEBT.

Arthur Smith

It’s scale doesn’t make it any less virtual and uninteresting than rouble.

sagbotgamot

….and then sanction Russia if the meeting fails. right?

Peter Moy

There is nothing to meet about you idiots at the Pentagon! Deir Ezzor is and will always be Syrian. Where are all of these Hollywood-style and much vaunted, war winning US Special Forces? More like a lot of hype and propaganda for the uninformed, misinformed, ignorant and gullible. They should learn what real ground combat is from the SAA, Iran and Hezbollah!

FlorianGeyer

The US Special Forces are pumping iron and taking steroids to look macho. They are far too busy to get dirty in a real war. Its Call of Duty for them.

Boris Kazlov

To look macho and get fucked, they are all LGBTQs

hhabana

Oh fuck you. Too much vodka you dumb fuckng Slavic idiots. American forces would fuck your shit up so bad, you would go crying in Mama’s arms.

You people are naive regarding world leaders. They trade their goals and desires like Jews doing a business deal. Grow up.

Boris Kazlov

A peasant army like the Vietnamese beat the crap of yanki invaders, and you feeel entitled to brag, the Sovier Union defeated single -ahnadedly the Wehr macht and its fascist allies, beating them all the way back to Berlin, and forcing them to surrrender. Yanks entered the fight upon assurances that Hitler was already defeated, coward cock sucker LGBTQs.

LynFSN

There is obviously no future for the USA in Syria, nor anywhere on the planet. The evil empire is already kind of fading, and this is a desparation move.

Rafik Chauhan

RUSSIA SHOULD TELL USA THAT MOVE SDF IN TAQBA TO BEYOND RIVER AND ALSO HAND OVER MANBIJ TO SAA. AND ALSO TELL UD THAT SDF SHOULD NOT MOVE BEYOND AL SHDADI ARE STAY WERE THEY ARE. . THIS IS THE DECONFLICTION ZONE FROM RUSSIA AND ITS ALLIES

Floyd Hazzard

Discuss what? Russia would be stupid to lend legitimacy to insurrection and occupation.

Mountains

The Russians really think they are smart and start treating people like they are kids. Just look at the type of de-confliction zone they offered the idlib rebels by actully forcing Turkey upon them which could prove to be worse then the Regime.

They are probably handing out some half-assed insulting maps and ideas to the US. If I was the US CENTCOM I would have said fuck off and seal of the eastern side of the euphrates

Alex

US got no business being in Syria in the first place and should be kicked out completely. You people are really insolent and think that can tell everyone else what to do. You should be fed your excrements.

roger temple

They already do eat excrement (genetically modified). That is why they are so stupid.

Ronald

Not only does their government poison their own citizens with GMO foods , but sacrin , the “sweet and low” sweetener , is a pesticide .

PZIVJ

Porky: “I would have said fuck off and seal of the eastern side of the euphrates” Sorry, your friends are to slow and retarded. The SAA is kicking ass, GOOD NEWS :)

John Whitehot

xD what is an insulting map? one with a writing in red marker reading “fuck you bitch!”?

Tudor Miron

Come and get some. Why don’t you seal it?

zman

I sincerely doubt this twat is an American. I am an American and I know very few here that believes the crap this fool spews. Our media is run by the same criminals as the media around the western world. What people in the rest of the world think of Americans is influenced by the way their own press presents us as, as well. Our government does not represent the people and they haven’t for quite some time, any more than most western countries. While I know it’s fashionable to piss on Americans, you need to remember that those online that spout the idiocy that mtns does is most likely a paid tool. The only reason I don’t take offense at some remarks is that I figure we (collectively) deserve it. After all, we did elect Reagan, GHWB, Clinton, GWB, Obama and Trump…and don’t think that we haven’t been regretting it. Anyone from a western country has no business name calling, as their countries are in bed with the Zionists as well. Sooner or later (preferably sooner) the majority of Americans will openly oppose the Zionist criminals, as the tide has already begun to turn…which is why voting here is being manipulated (and I don’t mean by the Russians either). Those that still cling to the ‘good ole days’ are those that religiously watch the MSM and are naive as hell, sometimes willingly so. Most people I know are rooting for Russia, Iran and Syria, as I openly do! But what do I know, I’m just a dumb Arkie from the sticks.

Tudor Miron

Hi Zman, I understand your point and I agree with you. Forget about that boy – Americans (At list those that I know personaly) are the same as us – we are Humans. All the best from Russia.

zman

Thanks! I also want to add that my comment was supposed to be a reply to Florian where he says mtns is an American. How I clicked the wrong button, I don’t know. Also, I have been to KSA and Iran back in the 70/80s, so I do know a little about the cultures and the conniving that has been going on ever since. Most Americans do not have this background to draw from…I learned back then that Israel is behind almost all the BS we see today. I always appreciate your comments and your civility. Also, I want to tell you that a majority of Americans have a good opinion of Russia and feel that Russia is the hope of the world for peace, not to mention being jealous of your President, we have only sock puppets. Would love to visit Russia, but that would put me on a list, I’m sure. Thank you to RA for sacrifices and display of honor from the US.

FlorianGeyer

Unfortunately Zman the zionist trash can now only be expunged from the US and elsewhere by force of arms in the form of a civil war. The days of fair and honest elections are long gone in the US.

If you really want change, you and millions of others must be willing to sacrifice your lives for your comrades.

The alternative is WW3 at some stage where the US will also be a devastated wasteland with Mad Max style barbarism.

zman

1) The Russians REALLY are smart (or the Zionists are exceptionally stupid). 2)De-confliction zones are working. The only ones there that have any reason to fear is ISIS remnants, Al Qaeda and Kurds. 3) The only half-assed maps are coming from the Zionists. 4)IF the US could have sealed off the east side of the Euphrades, they already would have. 5) You are just as full of shit as you ever were.

RichardD

The SDF advanced to DE down a road with almost no built up area or Isis resistance and their advance stalled at DE. They’re probably running into both Isis and Syrian government coalition resistance to their efforts to expand their foot print. They didn’t do it earlier because they would have been over extended just like they are now.

They waited until the last minute because if they waited any longer the Syrian government coalition would do exactly what it’s doing now. And probably planned on the possibility of the Kurds making a move south at the last minute before they extinguished the option completely with their drive on DE and across the river to the Iraq border.

FlorianGeyer

Yes Mountains, whatever you say and please remember to take your meds as without them you are a very dumb American.

RichardD

You and whose army? Certainly not the US army. The Kurds on the Arab’s lands? Probably not. Eastern tribes turning against the government? I don’t think so. So what are you left with, mercs? That doesn’t seem to be going to well with the Isis mercs getting steam rolled by the Syrian government coalition. With air strikes? Hasn’t happened yet and doesn’t look like it’s going to happen.

Maybe you should find another conflict to issue arm chair general proclamations about.

Carol Davidek-Waller

Partition 9.0 If it were anything else, the Syrian government would be included.

DJ Double D

Sometimes I pity the US for their naivety. Using the Kurds to threat SAA didn’t work – remember the ‘we won’t allow SAA to cross the Euphrates’; then came false accusation that Kurdish forces were bombed by SAA/Russia (and that US special forces were nearby, and as you know ‘we always reserve our right at self-defense’) – that didn’t work. Now it’s time to talk about the future of Deir Ezzor. I can’t stop laughing at their naivety.

John Whitehot

I may be wrong, but sometimes I get the impression that inside the SDF there are “voices” that the US does not control, and that often release certain “unofficial” statements.

When that happens guess whose country “policies” they seem to match the most? hint, it starts with I and ends with L.

FlorianGeyer

Isn’t that Anti Semitic ? :)

I agree with you .

John Brown

They can met with the US once the SAA has taken all of Deir Azur and discuss how long it will take the US to withdraw from Syria.

Xanatos

The US wants to buy time for hiring more mercenaries to fight under SDF. The Pentagon doesn’t want CIA trained alQaida fighters. They want more Kurds from Iraq. Kurdistan had already sent all their spare units. It will take 2 weeks to outfit extra Kurdish units for deployment, they will inexperienced.

Even with US airpower The sdf will need at least 50,000 Kurds to garrison all of Rojava. 30,000 militia to Control the Arab population, 10,000 to deter a Turkish army to the north, and 10,000 to deter the Syrian army to the south.

The Arab population is not very large, less than a million, but they are spread across a wide area. The us only permits Arab allies light arms, for fear they’ll turn on the Kurds. But they will be getting more effective weapons soon -from Syria and turkey and Iraq.

Pete

We don’t need to speculate, SAA is much more powerful with Iran and Russia. USA is far away anyway. They want some long-term solution, but with Assad ruling the whole country very likely not what will solve the problem. If USA supports Kurds and creates some sort of new country, it might solve one problem, but makes an another one, but if he does not make it, same problems come again. I personally supports Kurds to make one or two independent countries, and step by step let build some nation there. If the country won’t have any oil reserve, unfortunately it would be very poor.

At the moment SDF is not really fighting at Deir Ezzor, at least it does not seem to be. I don’t think, if they wanted to go east, they didn’t do it.

Either way some organisation needs to happen. As it’s a big game anyway, and from many areas USA left with agreement, very likely it will be some sort territory swap on the agreement.

Anyway USA is dealing with two countries, Russia only with one. So at least at the border it’s a little bit bigger game. USA wants to make sure that when he leaves the country, the kurdish part will be stable, it means it needs defendable and stable borders inside or outside Syria does not matter really. (it’s independent either way, and it will be)

zman

You are one of a very few that support a Kurdish ‘country’. If they had not aligned with the US, they might have gotten a better reception. They do not deserve their own country, as they colluded with too many thieves and liars, not to mention that collusion with ISIS (Zion) is suspected. If they had any sense, they would renounce any intention of habitating any area that was previously Arab and fully co-operate with the Syrian/Iraqi governments. This would engender much better relations and Syria/Iraq would be much more welcoming of some sort of accommodation, as they previously had. Going with the US/Israel, which everyone knows is purely anti-Syrian/Iraq, is a mistake and will come back to haunt them…and sooner than later. No matter what the US blathers on about, the fact is that once ISIS is dead, the Kurds will have to contend with 4 nations in the area. Better relations (co-operation) now and less demands will go a long way to soothe the damage they have done thus far. Personally, I would not trust them at all. Any country/ethnicity that has aligned with the Zionist faction cannot be trusted at all to hold to any agreement as their integrity is highly questionable…and this includes Turkey.

Pete

Somebody commented that SDF has no legal rights to live in Syria. So no question. I’m far away from US and from Russia also, so i live in a country where i saw the differences. One man told me in my Egypt trip, that Alawites wouldn’t allow anybody to come into power that’s why as Syrian lives in Egypt, even if they are minority. That’s the problem in Syria, my nation learnt a terrible lesson on that mind set. We saw Russia and West in my country occupied some decades ago. US committed mistakes twice. They don’t have any purpose, there is no oil fields etc., so what is the reason of US to jump to a costly war. Kurdish independence not really supported by US also, but US presence allows them to make their own choice, and i think that’s vital in the conflict.

There is no question, that they would be always minorities. (Syria is a very multi-ethnic), but personally i think Assad is not the right guy to rule the whole country. If they just loose half of them, it’s enough him to be able to learn lessons, but if you get the whole, i think he will be like Kim-Jon Un. If you look at Turkey, there is no democracy there, many guys just asking asylum in Germany. So that area is very contested. Anyway if you look at just Kaukazus, i think Kurdistan would be just very similar. Relatively small nation and the lifestyle would be the war. (It’s interesting, how many woman soldier is fighting at SDF side.) I’m not sure that balanced military ever happened in the history.

Boris Kazlov

Maybe you think that Assad is not the right guy, but that is unimportant since you are not Syrian, they chose an alawite who respects all religions and ethnicities and is secular, have you not seen how his wife and him dress?

Pete

Anyway i don’t want any asylum seeker in my country, if you don’t allow that people, who borne there with whatever ethnicity, i personally think, that i will be the one, who beg to North-Korea for a hydrogen bomb sent to the whole arab peninsula. (I hope it would be raining black for decades, so you wouldn’t have any further war) – Anyway i think that would be the solution for the world problem. North-Korea would be killed and Syria would be sent to the Moon to fight on the eternal hunting grounds. Peace!

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

North Korea has always had a friendly relationship with Syria since they peace and stability and all people Syrians , what happens when 900,000 people who want to take a large part of the country areas they never even set foot upon as people. This why your argument sounds weak the people of that region have a right of return the area was 73% Arab despite what you hear from others here and 1 million+ Christians in the area.

The support for your argument even gets weaker when the Kurds have been more than a little disruptive in the region, massacring and genocide of millions in a couple centuries and you would think they weren’t secular by any stretch of the imagination. History is a hard thing to escape when you refuse to change and assimilate into a country.

Boris Kazlov

Anything more ridiculous, delirious rant, can only come from a Yankistani, your country is a dead man walking.

Pete

http://accesswdun.com/article/2017/9/583349

FlorianGeyer

The US is not bothered whether the Kurdish enclaves are stable. The US only wants another ‘running sore’ in the Middle East to protect their masters in Israel.

Boris Kazlov

Just like Ukraine is a thorn in the side of Russia, that is what USA does.

gustavo

Do not be naive, SDF’s will do what USA tell them. They do not have mind to do something by themselves. I support for a Kurdistan country in Nagev desert with Israel.

marsn2

Deir Ezzor that heroic city withstood years of siege by ISIS, their savage attacks and new offensives again and again, sometimes even directly supported by USAIF (sept 2016.), and now yankees and their puppets demand ‘their share’?! Fck them and their demands.

Ronald

Obviously trying to buy # 1 the idea that they should have any say . Russia should remind them what happened in D/E a year ago during a C/H . The future of Syria without an American presence is really up for discussion .

Langaniso Mhlobo

USA should hold a meeting with Syrian govrr not Rusdia.Russia is a terrorist eliminator on behalf of Syrian Government.

gustavo

Are you kidding, USA must not meet anybody ! USA has nothing to say, it is a invader creator of terrorists. Syria-Russia-iran-Hezbolah will the USA …back off !! Go back to your country and STOP creating problem in middle east.

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Would love it if they sent the pre 1967 map, that would be just awesome!

SnowCatzor

The US deep-state is basically just buying time with this suggestion, they want to stop the SAA beating them to all the juicy oil-fields. The US-SDF is going to have to accept Syrian control of those fields now though, Russia ain’t seriously interested in negotiating when they don’t actually have to.

goingbrokes

De-confliction zone in Eastern Syria is easy. It starts from the eastern border of Syria and extends east! Done!
