The Russian military showed footage of a captured Ukrainian T-64BV tank destroying Ukrainian positions near Avdeevka.
According to the Russian reports, the tank was captures in battles during the Kiev Antiterrorist Operation against the population of the Donbass in the period from 2014 to 2015. It was the trophy of the 1st Slavic Brigade and was placed at the disposal of the 1st Army Corps of the People’s Militia of the DPR.
After the tank passed the necessary repair and upgrading, it is now serving with the 1st Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Slavic Brigade of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Its operation was reportedly filmed on the southern flank of Avdeevka in the fields between Laastochkino, Tonenkoe and Severnoe.
The T-64BV tank struck a firing position of a mortar crew of the AFU, presumably of the Ukrainian 53rd Mechanized Brigade.
The Soviet-made T-64BV still makes up the body of of armored units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. These vehicles have an automatic fire control system, sufficient armor plating and mounted dynamic protection. The tank is equipped with a 125 mm 2A46M-1 cannon, which fires at a distance of about 5,500 – 6,000 m.

captured ok, but donbas has a heavy steel indutry and should be able to produce such and similar armor by itself. if not, than russia should build there tank, artillery and ammo factories, what would shorten a lot the supply routes and bring thousands of donbas people in employment.
that’s one chicken which has returned to roost. the kiev junta shouls expect more chickens.
