A fresh video has appeared online showing members of the Syrian National Defense Forces crossing the Euphrates River for a battle for Saqr Island near Deir Ezzor city.
An intense fighting is ongoing between government forces and ISIS terrorists in the island that one of the most important positions east of Deir Ezzor city. The sides that controls the island is able to de-facto control all supply lines to the northern part of Deir Ezzor city controlled by ISIS.
This shows the extent of the fake news and misinformation going around from SAA.and Russia and to a lesser extent some of the SF correspondents.
SAA captured Saqr island a week ago all three claimed. Now they have to be reinforced to take the island?

Lucklily SDF has almost completely captured Raqqah, will be able to send tens of thousands fighters towards DeZ and have taken crucial oil and gas installations while driving towards Suhwar, the central city in the Khabur Valley.

Raqqa is ALMOST but not yet captured and SDF is ALMOST a force and it has ALMOST nowhere near tens of thousands of fighters to send anywhere because they are already ALMOST scraping the bottom of the barrel forcibly conscripting Arabs and Assyrians. In the meantime SAA has neutralized ALL Daesh pockets in central Syria in less then 3 months, relieved Deir Ezzor, crossed the Euphrates and linked up with Iraqi Army in an operation to clear the border. So much about ranting and forlorn hopes…
SAA does not even have a barrel to scrape anymore. They rely on, estimated, 70k+ Hezbollah, Iranians, Iraqi PMU and Afghans, not to mention some 100k+ NDF. SAA itself is now estimated as near or even below 100k.
I must, however, rectify one point a mistakenly made : SF did NOT claim SAA took Saqr Island, just the majority. So, SF, sorry.

There’s a lot of fresh faces in SAA uniforms on videos from Deir Ezzor and North Hama. Russians are churning out new volunteer battalions from their training camps every 3-4 months. At the lowest point in the war in 2015, US estimated SAA strength at 300K – all this without allies. In the mean time a lot of “revolutionaries” decided to join the winning side and that alone more then made up for losses. There are only 2,5 million Kurds in Syria opposed to approx 17 mil people under government control. Total number of SDF is approx 60K, this also according to US. If anybody is losing the numbers war it ain’t the SAA. In short – you are full of it – again…

I have never read any article that claimed Saqr Island was captured by SAA. Can you provide me with one?
What makes me wonder is I’ve seen this video before and they were at 65% capture of the Island and that was yesterday, that meets US/SDF standards above and beyond.

Raqqa remains 60% secure by SDF and 25% secure by ISIS and 15% contested hasn’t been fighting for days there, as SDF went to go be greedy.
Saqr Island was controlled at 50%on landing this is a higher number than SDF says in claiming an area, the control on Saqr is 80% now ISIS is putting up a fight there and this video was released already. SDF doesn’t have the manpower as many of their Arab mercenaries are fighting SAA and dying by the boat loads.
Keep dreaming about as not all ISIS are on board and are killing these leaders who are joining US and it’s proxies.
SDF has taken over 80%, probably 90% of Raqqah. What remains is about 0.5 kms2, manned by anywhere to up to a few hundred IS fighters and it will take time to smoke them out. In Mosul that took some two weeks after the last quarter was taken.
I can imagine this also taking anywhere between two to four weeks. The first quarters of Raqqah are already reopened (that means also demined) to their former inhabitants.
They are still fighting and have lost several fighters already today and you believe they are 80-90% captured the SDF doesn’t have the manpower without ISIS , just asks Mullah Krekar number 2 man in Al Qaeda in Oslo who is free as a bird and a Kurd.

Now that all the western bank of the river up to Maadan has been cleared of ISIS by SAA and the frontline against US-led al-Qaeda in northern Hama is going diminishing, pace should pick up across the river in the DeZ countryside. The US and its terrorist forces will likely be using the increasing militarization of Iraqi Kurdistan to move assets all over the place to secure eastern Syria.
If SDF (kurds, USA-puppets) take over oil fields in Omar, Syria lost the war despite have won many batlles. Why ? Because these thieves will never (using USA-Israel power ) leave this very rich area, and Syria will be divided. Of course, this depends also on Russia answer to USA-Israel, but I am afraid that Russia then will do nothing to avoid this.

The Syrian government coalition is gaining ground at a rate of 10 to 1 compared to the Kurds. The Kurds drove down an empty highway to DE and then their offensive stalled. There are Syrian government coalition forces behind enemy lines on the east side of the river that aren’t being reported on for security reasons. Who are fighting Isis and containing the SDF advance.
When the Syrian government coalition front lines move ahead on the east side of the river. It will be done in part because of commando work done by advance elements behind enemy lines.

Having seen this videa, a crossing by ONE crickety old fishing boat, one can imagine SAA (NDF?) having problems taking the island. No heavy weapons, not much ammo.
Another movie by Ruptly showed a piece of ponton bridging but also not a functioning ponton bridge. The crossings there were by amphibics but there too capacity seems a problem.
