AlMasdarNews reports: Despite assembling a considerable fighting force, Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham (formerly known as Jabhat al-Nusra) and Ahrar al-Sham were unable to keep hold of three hills they captured in Latakia province on Monday and Tuesday.
Tall Al-Malk, Tall Al-Rasha, and Tall Nahshabba were all retaken by the SAA just hours ago; however, it now transpires that Russian drone reconnaissance and airstrikes were instrumental in driving back the jihadist forces from the aforementioned high points while Syrian infantry played only a ‘mopping up’ role.
