The Russian Armed Forces have successfully test-launched a new interceptor missile from the Sary-Shagan training range, Kazakhstan, the Russian Defense Ministry said on June 4.
“Another test-launch of a new Russian interceptor missile was successfully conducted by the Russian Aerospace Defense Forces from the Sary-Shagan training range in Kazakhstan,” the defense ministry said, according to TASS.
“After a series of trials, the new interceptor missile confirmed its characteristics and successfully completed the task by striking an assigned target with precision,” the defense ministry quoted deputy commander of the missile defense unit Vladimir Sergiyenko as saying.
Well I saw some rockets fly up, leaving a huge cloud trace for a direct hit on the platforms, but then what ?….. no idea what to think here.

I think it will. The missile is hypersonic. All above 5 Mach is considered hypersonic. The thing has speed of 14 Mach. You can set it at the video – the missile is enormously fast.

This video is intended for attention of military stuff in US. What it shows is extremely high acceleration = extremely high speed of anti missile. Something that US guys are able to easily calculate and take notice looking at this video. There is a direct relationship between velocity of incoming missile and velocity required to intercept it. Interceptor missiles are pretty impressive but precision wise against an Enemy ICBM I doubt they’d be effective, remember when these things are test-launched towards a target they are fixed in a predetermined trajectory. And enemy missiles will be incoming in all sorts of directions. And some experts say intercepting another missile is difficulty like threading a needle in the sky.

3- Nothing new if it´s a Nudol, that have been tested various times in the past…
4- The Nudol system appears much more efficient than western counterparts… the problem is: deployment, the money necessary, it will use an nuclear warhead like the soviet ones?

7- If ABM Systems were really effective, they would be deployed massively by then Soviet Union and now by US or Russia. But only a Few is really deployed. In fact there are more ABMs in Moscow alone than GMDs. That costs 40 billions os USD per year. 8- ABMs could not tackle SLBMs (if they really could tackle ICBMs, which if have large doubts) 9- In the end the best Defense is the Attack… If this missile could be transformed in an attacking missile, than it would be a great deal for the Russians… In other cases, it will only be a very limited ABM System, like all the others (exceptions made for the Nuclear Ones around Moskva)
