Claims of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev about the capture of the town of Hadrut in the Nagorno-Karabakh region from Armenian forces appeared to be fake.
Russian war journalists Semen Pegov and Alexander Kots visited the town, which remains close to the frontline between Armenian and Azerbaijani forces, and filmed a video evidence confirming that it remains in the hands of the Armenian side.
Meanwhile, the Azerbaijani top leadeship and Azerbaijani media still claim that the town is in the hands of Azerbaijan. According to pro-Armenian sources, Azerbaijani special forces (with the alleged support from Turkish-backed Syrian militants) once again tried to capture the town just a few hours before the start of the humanitarian ceasefire on October 10. Nonetheless, this attack was repelled by the Armenians.

The town was filled with AZ soldiers (saturday, 10 of October). AZ denies access to any press, except their own and turkish. What would they do, if meet another journalists in combat time? I guess, the same that was done with cathedral in Shushi.

This video was filmed in 9th of october in the second half of the day, not in 10th of october, as I said before. Aliev said that the town is captured in 1st half. But there is no any AZ soldiers. So there are versions: 1) there were no any AZ soldiers; 2) they were here, but moved out; 3) they are still here, but invisible for human eye. Choose what you want.
This video absolutely does not show Hadrut town centre; no church, no school, no mayor’ building, no street with the old original village buildings. It probably is the outskirts of Hadrut or some outlying villages in Hadrut district like Sencer says, but no way is it Hadrut town centre.

The war has now dragged on for 2 weeks. That is not a good sign for the attackers. I can imagine that any frontal infantry assault in that terrain would be suicide for Azerbaijan.
