I still think it would be nice to see a salvo launch of these missiles so as to overwhelm any Saudi defence.
Statistically, a salvo ripple launch of 4 missiles in a 2×2 launch config at very close launch intervals should do the trick. More is better of course, but this should be easily doable for the houthis.
I can’t help but think these rockets are like the German V1 and V2 series. And like those vergeltungswaffen they achieve jack shit. The Nazis poured a lot of manpower and resources in building them and it didn’t slow down the Allied advance for a single day. Similarly these rockets deliver nothing to the Houthis for all the effort they put into them. Maybe if they launched a 100 of them a day it might deliver them something. But the occasional rocket, one that can be easily intercepted? Nothing!
A few have hit and killed dozens and dozens of UAE and other nationals. The Houthis are trying to achieve another such success. The problem probably isn’t the missiles, it is the Patriot missile defences.
2 years ago the saudis were not ready for such attacks, now they are https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/September_2015_Ma%27rib_Toshka_missile_attack
This is equally an psychological effect as to expect damage, when the accuracy isnt that high, but If I where them I would do just so, before making the rockets more accurate, and I bet it hit what they intended, but in this days, of ugh…. not fake news its difficult to verify anything, but one thing do I know, if the Saudi-barbarians didnt have an fight jet in the vicinity, the so called protective missile systems aren’t able to intercept, at all. Get it, the same effect that the Germans wanted with their Vs, its psychological, is equally vital as pure damage.
peace
I think you are right about the missile intercepts. That the Sauds say that they intercept all missiles means absolutely nothing. There have been reports from activists in KSA that some of these missiles have in fact hit their targets. They have struck several different targets and each time KSA says they were intercepted. They are terrified of these missiles and are also afraid of what being vulnerable to this type of attack will do to their control within the Kingdom. If I remember correctly, there have been at least 3 that were confirmed to have hit…although KSA denied it.
Theres reporters in ryadah saying they heard a loud explosion, loud enough to shake the tower they are in….
That doesn’t sound like an interception to me…

“We felt it. Wasn’t massive but palpable.”
That sounds like an interception to me. A warhead detonation would be massive.
If Saudis claims they’ve did this or that, well that’s a basically a lie. Every single time.
