Russian Air Force Annihilated Militants In Area Where Su-24 Was Shot Down. Erdogan Ordered Turkish Air Force Planes Be Grounded

Information has come from  Syrian sources that last night (24.11) the Russian Aerospace Defence Forces struck with massive attacks on the positions of militants (including Turkomans) in the region where the Russian Su-24 was brought down.

Russian Air Force Annihilated Militants In Area Where Su-24 Was Shot Down. Erdogan Ordered Turkish Air Force Planes Be Grounded

Originally appeared at Cont.ws, translated by Caraptho-Russian exclusively for SouthFront

The source reported that most likely nothing remains of the militants who shot down the Russian MI-8 .

No detailed information has arrived yet.

Meanwhile, there has appeared information that the Turks are not putting their fighters in the air after the majority of them were lit up by Russian radar (the S-300 and, according to early reports, possibly the S-400). After the statement of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, Turkey is afraid that their planes can be destroyed when approaching the border.

In this regard the Syrians reported that the Russia air-space forces can begin the full-scale destruction of camps in the border territory, and also annihilate the retreating militants and the fuel trucks which are moving towards Turkey.

Erdogan did not receive the hoped-for support from NATO. Erdogan has acknowledged that if the Russian plane even violated the border of Turkey, this was for only for 17 seconds, which means that the Turkish Air Force, on purely physical grounds, could not have reacted to it if the provocation was not prepared in advance. This figure of 17 seconds appears in NATO reports.

Members of NATO have been ambiguously treating Erdogan’s action. At present it is difficult to judge how the situation will develop. While it is obvious that Erdogan is attempting to back off, it is already too late, as Vladimir Putin gave to understand at a meeting with the king of Jordan.

Most likely Turkey did not expect such a severe reaction from Russia.

I hope they were in pain all the time they died

Mark Dankof

I’m a Christian American whose late Father was an American Air Force officer. And I back President Putin and Russia. God bless Russia in exposing and attacking this cynical alliance American Neo Conservatives and Israel have undertaken with Turkey and the criminal regime in Saudi Arabia backing al Qaeda and ISIS in Syria.

AndreaNY

I think the blame goes on the liberals who support obama as well, at this point it is apparent both parties have sold us out. Soros should be brought up on charges as well for his role in the chaos that is erupting around the world as he funds these groups.

Jack Falcon

it isn’t as if the republicans with people like lindsay graham and insane McCain are not equally guilty.this shit started with bush so keep the partisan nonsense in check

Real Anti-Racist Action

Soros is a Zionist-bigot who only lives to serve Ashkenazi-Jews and the devil.

Robert Miller

I am also a Christian American the son of an Air Force officer, and a Navy Vet. I also support Russia and the Russians in an attempt to punish these terrorists as well as those who back them.

Dr. Ronald Cutburth

Very good Mark. My late uncle started the Saudi airforce, and worked CIA contracts in that area, and had a long history of helping the Sunny muslims However The US gov is a state sponsor of terrorism since that time. I support Russia/Putin. In addition Russia has far superior military equipment over the US because of the corrupt new world order military industry. Dr. Ronald Cutburth, engineering scientist, intelligence expert.

A. Wyatt Mann

Kill em all Russia! Real Americans stand with Putin!

InvaderNat

Good job, send those bastards straight to hell. If the terrorist-sponsors in Turkey try this shit again, they’ll soon join their ‘martyred’ friends. Keep their cowardly air-force on the ground where it belongs.

Then Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated in 2012 that a “short-term border violation can never be a pretext for attack” after a Turkish jet was shot down over Syrian territory.

Despite the assertion, Turkey shot down a Russian warplane Tuesday after the Sukhoi Su-24 allegedly violated Turkish airspace for mere “seconds.”

Turkish jets has violated Greeks airspace fo 2000 times due 2014

Erdogan is nothing a hypocrite who think he the new Sultan in town. Russia will be teaching him a lesson that he isn’t in the coming days and weeks.

Simon Gunson

Like Mark Dankof I am a westerner in New Zealand who has lost faith in Washington’s phoney war against ISIS. The truth emerged from former US Defence Intelligence Chief, Lt Gen. Michael Flynn that Washington has been supporting the creation of ISIS with arms and funding. It is the Obama administration which has blood on its hands for 120 murdered teenagers in Paris.

Also it has emerged Turkish President Erdogan authorised the F-16 pilot to fire on the Russian jet. How does that all happen in just 17 seconds unless it was a pre-planned ambush?

Turkey has in effect declared war on Russia and i refuse to condemn Russia for responding against Turkish jets. I would not be surprised if President Assad declares all of Syria a no fly zone for NATO aircraft. Then we will find out who is serious in destroying ISIS?

First Lastname

Basically, since the beginning of Russian involvement, Turkey has said it will monitor and notify Russian planes within something like 10km of the border. So that’s how they warn for 5 minutes during 17 (probably 9) seconds of alleged airspace violation. Of course, I’m not defending Turkey, I’m just answering your question.

As far collusion between US and Turkish forces to “ambush” the Su-24? Possible, even plausible. I would venture to say probable, since Russia alleges they picked up no Turkish radar tracking them. Like Putin says “we gave the US info on when and where we would be, and we were shot down there and then. Why did we give America this information?”

I don’t know if Putin is lamenting sharing info with the US or suggesting that they wanted to test how secure the US is in handling sensitive Russian info.

T-75 Proto

Simon, how is this ‘Washington’s’ phoney war ? and how can you say the Obama administration has blood on its hands. Ive not heard anything more ridiculous since early July this year. ISIS is producing attacks ‘worldwide’ including europe, so its not an just an American matter. ISIS WILL BE DESTROYED.

RRT

I know it’s a bit too late, but let me answer… How? Well when Obama says he will bring the troops back on first elections and then 8 years later the picture is completely different (even if he got a Nobel for Peace before he started, ridiculous, he bombed more countries than Bush but got a Nobel for peace..). ISIS? Who created them? Proxy armies always end up doing something else, not what the “Master” wants. It is an American pile of crap that you forced on the rest of the world to deal with, greedy for resources … What I despise is though, if you want to wage war, then fkin DECLARE war! No balls for that? Then everyone would know for sure your intentions. But of course your gov prefers to “free” people (of their oil I suppose) … Good job in Iraq and Afghanistan, they are heaven on Earth now … ah, yeah, forgot, nothing like that happened … they are even worse than before, power vacuum creates just more groups …

I agree it ain’t just US fault … UK is there in the basket too, the gay cousin of US … France made the mistake to join and now they gotta stage “terrorist attacks” on own soil to keep the ball rolling … Or you think people can just walk around with AK47 hundreds of meters then enter a club and start shooting? Or the latest truck incident … I refuse to accept that French police are such retards, to let a huge truck pass when there is an undergoing event with lot of people … Not after all that happened in France. Or just see Hollande’s face when he was informed about the shooting, he didn’t look surprised at all …

I am afraid that the crap few of the world leaders are doing has to be paid by everyone, even if most of the countries have nothing to do with the idiotic Middle East action. The Middle East was always a scene for different moves, all the centuries and the damn idiots learned nothing too … hundreds of years later they still let US, Europe and Russia play their game there … For those bastards the world is just a chess board …

As an American Patriot, i know full well my country was hijacked by Zionist-bigots in 1914, and got their Federal Reserve Act which ended America. I fully support all of Putin’s efforts and the entire Russian people. End the evil-UK’s-Mi6 once and for all. Bomb the Mi6/CIA/Mossad who supply Terrorist with tools to do evil things. America needs to be liberated

Damian Moran

Turkey was talking when they should have been listening!

enriqueferro

Erdogan didn’t expect the factual disengagement from NATO. He was foolish, he chose a very bad moment to show off his support of terrorism, as in Europe there is hardened mobilisation against Daesh and a growing sympathy for Moscow’s determination.

PHILIPPOS RAFTOPOULOS

NATO is a joke. Ukraine expected support and started getting uneasy against Russia, but it was hung to dry. Turkey not onlly funded, but essentially created ISIS, hoping for NATO support when they cowardly attacked the only force who has taken this threat as seriously as every country should have done so. I hope they get what they deserve.

First Lastname

I think you may be misreading NATO’s disengagement from Turkey. I think it’s a calculated move, in order to allow countries like France to feign friendship and co-operation with Russia in order to move heavy weaponry into Syria to use against the Russians at a later date. Sort of a Trojan Horse. Almost the same way that Moorish warriors have used the cover of the migrant crisis to stage an army in Europe, so too will NATO countries feign cooperation with Russia to stage an army.

enriqueferro

You may be right about NATO, considering all the news that have emerged later. Nonetheless the public opinion in Western Europe has been very critical towards Erdogan, unlike in the US. Many MSM have allowed themselves to publish strong criticism and understanding towards Russia, which wasn’t the case when Russia was involved. At least for the last 5 years or so.

First Lastname

There’s no question that backing Turkey’s wreckless act of war would be unpopular in Europe, and wildly unpopular in America, despite the lack of coverage of Erdogan and the growing blight of ignorance there. You’re right about Erdogan’s corruption too. I find it funny that the Russians are exposing links and ties to terrorists among at least 40 nations of the world, the way a journalist might expose the truth. This journalist just happens to have an entire army backing him up.

Hopefully Turkey doesn’t take a provocative stance against any Russian operations or they will be shot down by an S-400 or the Moskva, confirming the start of WW3.

AndreaNY

We all know who trained, armed and funded ISIS, and it is obvious at this point obamas intentions are apparent to the whole world. Isn’t it time to quite blaming Neo Conservatives and confront the truth? Is it not also time that charges be brought up against Soros as well for his meddling in world politics?

RS

The question begging to asked is that after the ISIS group has been driven out of Syria, “will Erdogan allow them to fight out of Turkey?” Will Erdogan allow them to stage and operate out of Turkey?

knowa1

Things need to cool down for saner minds.

Slipmatwax

Putin is EX KGB, he is smarter than most of the other military commanders and certainly smarter than all of the Western leaders, who rarely make decisions by themselves because they’re mainly puppets

Isaac

The Turkish government knew that Erdogan’s two sons were involved in stealing the oil from Syria. The US government, Israel, Saudi Arabia, perfectly knew that the stolen oil from Syria had been used to finance ISIS. President Vladimir Putin just say that in the G20 meeting in Turkey last week. The Turks, Israel and the Zionist controlled US government are bad news for humanity.

Muhammad Abbass

Whoever said revenge is a dish best served cold evidently hadn’t had much experience of Russian cooking.

Robert Miller

The Russian winter has a nasty habit of backing up Russian heat.

jeff maxwell

Arm the kurds with anti tank weapons, and take out all turkish jets that invade syrian airspace…paybacks a beech.

Mahmoud Larfi

President Assad should clearly state that Syrian Kurds are fully part of the people of Syria and that any attack on them from a foreign power i.e: Turkey will be punished.

Harvey Wallbanger

Turkey should be booted out of NATO for this provocative action. They were clearly retaliating for Russian airstrikes on Turkomen Syrian Jihadi rebels. As an American, I’m disgusted to have the likes of Turkey as an ally or a nation we have an obligation to protect.

Stephen Scotcher

Russia do your duty and if NATO thinks it wants war with you all of citizens of Europe will stand by you and not their puppet American governments. Parisians TURKEY kiiled all your dead not ISIS for without TURKEY you don`t have ISIS and all that blood, parisian blood oil monies. President Putin remember Donbass 2 as Poroshenko and his murderous gang prepare another attack on Novorussiya.

Bart B

Kick Turkey out of NATO

gooserooster

Erdogan was helped into power by NeoCons in the U.S. He was funneled money and support directly from the State Department. He garnered support in Turkey because everyone knew he had the U.S. backing, and since the U.S. will do whatever it takes to get their man into power, he won many allies in Turkey.

The U.S. is a kingmaker, unfortunately. They put a real chump in Turkey.

But Putin is smarter than Erdogan. I think everyone thought Putin would back down, but he didn’t, and he increased the bombing in the exact area the Su 22 was shot down.

luuuuke

Com’on Russia do the job….fast ,quick and ruthlessly ….

carolyn

Go Putin Go. Nice to see a leader that actually leads. Unlike our homo man-child in the White House.

Emile

Death to this hypocritical bloody warmonger dictator.

First Lastname

I would not be the least bit surprised to see that Putin increase the role of ground units in Syria. It’s a good way to get back at Turkey. Strike at their assets in Syria aka ISIS. The problem is, the next time NATO wants to provoke Russia, they may have to have a troop confrontation or bomb Russian soldiers. At least Putin traps NATO in its game of trying to provoke Russia into a war and turns the tables on NATO, forcing them to start a war of aggression against Russia.

If Putin increases the role of ground troops in Syria, then the next escalation will mark the start of ww3, if Nov 24, 2015 didn’t already.
