On December 14, 2023, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s press conference, which has become traditional in previous years, was held. For 4 hours, the Russian leader answered questions from Russian citizens from different regions.
The event was actively covered not only by Russian, but also by mass media of the world. Such publications as Le Figaro, Suddeutsche Zeitung, El Mundo and even The Washington Post wrote reviews on their pages on the results of the press conference.
During the event, questions were asked concerning all spheres of the country’s public life. Residents of Russian cities were mainly concerned about problems in Russian infrastructure, public utilities and even food prices (this refers to the question about expensive chicken eggs).
However, both Russian and international audiences were very interested in questions about the fate of the special operation in Ukraine, the prospects for a new wave of mobilization in Russia, and the prospects for resetting relations with the West. And indeed in this part there are some changes from the previously established rhetoric. The Russian leader once again voiced the ultimate goals of the special military operation: denazification, demilitarization and neutral status of Ukraine. In recent months, these points have ceased to be heard from Moscow at any level, and many people began to think that Russia and the West were already preparing for the realization of a peace treaty scenario.
Against the backdrop of statements by Ukrainian politicians and military officers about the failure of the counteroffensive, which was staked on by Western countries, among others, this point of view can already be considered as a certain trigger that Russia will most likely not stop on the way to realizing its original goals. In addition, the Russian president said the following when asked about the course of the special operation:
“Practically along the entire line of contact, our armed forces are, shall we say modestly, improving their position. Almost all are in an active stage of action.”
The issue of a new wave of mobilization was also raised by the Russian president. He gave quite a clear answer to it:
“Why do we need mobilization? As of today, there is no need for it … During the partial mobilization, 300,000 people were drafted, who are fighting just fine…. At the beginning of the year, a decision was made to recruit military personnel on a contract basis. It was planned to enlist 412 thousand people in the troops during the year… But as of yesterday, the army has already recruited 486 thousand fighters…. Together with volunteers, it’s just a conditional division, they sign a contract for two, three years. The so-called volunteers are, in fact, heroes and warriors of the Motherland, they just have a contract for a year, for a shorter period. But all together there will be up to half a million people by the end of this year”.
During the conference the issues of Russia’s international relations with the countries of the world were also touched upon. Many people were also interested in resetting Russia’s relations with Western countries. Putin said that Russia is not afraid to fight for its national interests without infringing on others’ interests. This aspiration is supported all over the world. In America, Europe and other regions of the planet, many people believe that Russia is doing everything right. He added to this the real reasons for supporting Moscow:
“We have a huge number of supporters in the world, if we talk about the defense of traditional values. Their number is growing exponentially”.
In general, the topic of traditional values has recently been considered by political scientists as a new ideology for Russia, which it abandoned immediately after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
Normalization of relations with the EU depends not only on Russia, as it is not Russia that spoiled them. Europe has lost its sovereignty and its actions are harming itself. Many European leaders “outwardly” behave like General de Gaulle, who fought for France’s interests with arms against the occupiers, but in fact like Marshal Pétain, who became a collaborator during World War II. There are only a few exceptions – Robert Fitzo and Viktor Orban. At the same time, Putin emphasized that they are not pro-Russian politicians, but pro-national and protect their interests.
“There are no others. This is due to the great dependence on the United States. We are ready to build relations with both them and the United States.”
Putin also touched a bit on the state of the Russian economy. This reaction came out in the Asahi Shimbun:
“Despite tough US and European sanctions, Russian economic growth rate is expected to reach 3% this year after negative figures last year, with unemployment at a record low 3%. This is based on stabilization of tax revenues from oil and natural gas exports. The environment is favorable for Russia at the international level as well… There is fatigue in many countries from supporting Ukraine. Even in the U.S., which has provided military aid to Ukraine, skepticism about aid to Kiev prevails among the Republican majority in the House of Representatives”.
Putin’s speech once again proves that he does not intend to give up his positions and will continue to move in the direction he outlined back in late February 2022. The media in Europe, the United States and Asian countries continue to follow how the Russian president will implement his policy, as their fate largely depends on it. It is not for nothing that during the special operation in Europe several ruling elites have already changed, while Putin continues to be in office.

it is not a special operation. it’s a war of attrition. even if the politicians declared a “truce”, it would not last long. nato is willing to fight to the last ukrainian. the us is looking out for its own “interests”, namely arms sales and crippling the eu economy. they don’t even bother to pack it in nice words and sell it to the public. russia is protecting its own interests because a nato naval base in crimea and us missile base in donetsk would change the strategic balance.
the reason behind the russian sanctions and to the ukrainian conflict is the same as in the destruction of libya. for destroying currencies that threaten the dollar. libya was overthrown because the countries of the middle east planned a gold-linked currency that would have weakened the dollar. the purpose of the sanctions was to topple the brics; russia and china. the fear of brics overrunning the dollar and the dollar’s ability to blackmail developing countries with economic sanctions.
there are also the eu’s ideological disengagement from arab oil and the three seas initiative. in the eastern ukraine has europe’s largest deposit of earth metal, needed for batteries. because ethnic russians voted “wrong”, the us and ger organized a coup in ukraine in 2014 that used fascist militias to help a pro-nato regime come to power. angela merkel confirms 2022 that nato wanted war from the start but needed time to prepare militarily and lead the situation to a large-scale conflict
the west is done! the offer just made by putin which will allow the eastern countries of the eu to reclaim their lost territories without interference from russia. the sole documented protectorate over ukraine will end it all. hungary, romania, poland, slovakia will take what is right fully theirs, as will russia. it is over.
the regime of kyiv cannot last for long and they may be move the problem into central europe and balkans.

putin is the best leader in the free world, bar none. take notes western desk jockeys. brics has changed the world and will continue to do so while you slumber. no notes, no teleprompter, no aid written scripts, just pure know how and from the heart for the love of the mother land. i love it…! sleep well sheeple.
