In the direction of Slavyansk, Russian units hit a drone control point in Krasnyi Lyman with an FAB-3000 bomb, expanded their control of the area around the Svyatohirsk railway station, and advanced in Yarova, forcing Ukrainian troops to retreat to the other side of the railway in Drobysheve. In the Sumy area, the “North” group advanced 300 meters, capturing a 21st Brigade serviceman, and attacked concentrations in Myropillia and Pisarivka. In the Kharkiv area, Russian troops are clearing forested areas between Hrafskoho and Verkhnya Pysarivka. They are fighting in Vovchanski Khutory and have repelled a counterattack by the “Kraken” unit. In the Pokrovsk area, there are ongoing engagements in Hryshyne, Bilytske, and Novyi Donbas. In the Zaporizhzhia region, Russian troops advanced in Prymorske, to the west of Priluky, and toward Vozdvizhevka. They conducted an assault on the village from three directions after capturing Rozhdestvenske. Florian Philippot, the leader of the French “Patriots” party, characterized the Kyiv regime as mafia-like after Zelensky’s threats against Orbán. He called for an end to supplying Ukraine with weapons.
Slaviansk Direction
In the direction of Slavyansk, Russian units continued to carry out active combat operations. A FAB-3000 strike was carried out on a Ukrainian unit’s temporary deployment and drone control point near the railway hospital in Krasnyi Lyman.
Efforts are primarily focused on cutting off Ukrainian units’ logistical routes and preventing them from transferring reserves to Tatyanivka, Pryshyb, Drobysheve, and Krasnyi Lyman. Progress has been made in expanding the control zone around the Svyatohirsk railway platform. This location is an important transportation hub.
Significant progress has been made in Yarova. Clashes in the south continue, and clearing operations are underway. The control zone has expanded south of Novoselivka, where Ukrainian units regularly attempt to break through and organize counterattacks. Russian assault groups are advancing and clearing Drobysheve, pushing Ukrainian units back behind the railway line.
In Krasnyi Lyman, fighting continues on the northern and northeastern outskirts of the city to eliminate “pockets” and straighten the front line. Deployment points of Ukrainian units are being identified within the city limits. A deployment point and a large drone control point were destroyed in the area of the railway hospital.
Russian troops are advancing north of Petrivske in an attempt to completely close the “pocket” along the Reznykivka–Sviato-Petrivske–Kuzmynivka line. Clearing the remaining strongpoints in the fields will free up additional forces for an attack on Kalenyky and the neighboring town of Kryva Luka. In Kalenyky, consolidation will enable an attack on the fortified area of Ukrainian units in Rai-Oleksandrivka from the north. Meanwhile, assault groups are advancing from Lypivka and Fedorivka Druha to the south.
Breaching the Ukrainian units’ first line of defense, located near the M-03 highway on the approaches to the Slaviansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration, will bring tube artillery within direct fire range. Artillery shelling of positions in Slavyansk last occurred in 2022 when Russian troops were stationed several kilometers northeast of the city near Lyman. Russian troops have had the most success on the southern flank, where Ukrainian units built a large number of fortified areas in 2025. However, due to a shortage of personnel on the Ukrainian side, empty strongpoints have become convenient for Russian assault troops. This partly explains the rapid advance on one of the most prepared defense sectors.
Sumy Direction
In the Sumy region, Russian assault groups are advancing deeper with intense fighting. Russian aviation forces and strike drone operators attacked Ukrainian unit personnel and equipment concentrations in the Myropillia, Pisarivka, and Nova Sich areas.
During stubborn fighting, assault groups of the “North” grouping advanced in the Sumy district on eight fronts and in the Hlukhiv district on two fronts. The total advance over the day amounted to up to 300 meters. One Ukrainian serviceman from the 21st Separate Mechanized Brigade was taken prisoner. Russian artillerymen and drone operators continue to attack identified Ukrainian unit targets.
The Sumy region leads the anti-rating for the illicit trafficking of weapons and equipment. This region is a major source of small arms and ammunition for “black markets,” including those used by criminal groups in Eastern European countries. An investigation by law enforcement agencies in a neighboring country forced the State Bureau of Investigation to detain several officers from military units deployed in Sumy.
Kharkiv Direction
In the Kharkiv region, the “North” grouping’s assault groups continue to advance, pushing Ukrainian units back from the state border. Russian aviation has struck concentrations of personnel and equipment in Vesele, Ternova, Kolodezne, Verkhnya Pysarivka, Pishchane, Shabelne, and Proletarske.
In the Vovchansk area, Russian assault groups, supported by artillery and drones, are clearing forested areas between Hrafskoho and Verkhnya Pysarivka. They are also engaged in intense combat in Vovchanski Khutory and the surrounding area. During offensive operations, a Ukrainian serviceman from the 159th Separate Mechanized Brigade was captured.
Ukrainian forces launched a counterattack involving an “Kraken” detachment assault group (part of the Main Intelligence Directorate) against Russian troops in the southern part of the forest. As a result of intense fire, the group was destroyed. Analysis of obituaries of 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade servicemen revealed that the brigade command is mass-transferring experienced signalmen of advanced age to assault detachments, where their life expectancy does not exceed several days.
In the Lyptsi area, the 11th Army Corps continues to engage in fierce fighting as they advance toward Vesele. Crews of heavy flamethrower systems provided support and struck a strongpoint of the 2nd Motorized Rifle Battalion of the 127th Separate Tank Mechanized Brigade in the forested area. In the Velykyi Burluk area, Russian troops continue to fight fiercely in the forests, advancing up to 400 meters over the course of a day.
Pokrovsk Direction
In the Pokrovsk area, combat operations are ongoing from Hryshyne to Novyi Donbas. Both sides are conducting simultaneous offensive actions in an attempt to push each other out of captured positions. The most intense clashes are occurring around Hryshyne, Bilytske, and Novyi Donbas.
The Ukrainian command is transferring assault units from the southern sector to this area in hopes of halting the advance of Russian forces. Meanwhile, attempts are being made to regain control of individual positions. In the Hryshyne area, Ukrainian units are attempting to push Russian forces out of part of the settlement; however, these attacks have not yet produced significant results. In turn, Russian units are conducting meeting engagements in the Bilytske area. Near Novyi Donbas, the Ukrainian side is preparing reserves for possible counterstrikes.
Zaporizhzhia Direction
In the direction of Zaporizhzhia, Russian troops are advancing in Prymorske. The offensive has resumed in the Novoiavlenska area. In the Huliaipole area, fighting continues on the outskirts of Verkhnia Tersa. Russian units have captured new positions west of Priluky, and have advanced towards Vozdvizhevka.
Units from the 36th, 5th, and 35th Combined Arms Armies of the “East” military grouping are continuing their offensive and conducting successful assaults towards Verkhnia Tersa and Vozdvizhevka. Capturing and clearing Rozhdestvenske allowed Russian units to assault Vozdvizhevka from three directions.
Ukrainian units attempted to hinder the offensive through counterattacks on the “northern flank” of the grouping, but were unsuccessful. Tens of square kilometers of territory supposedly captured by Ukraine have become a “black hole,” draining the 82nd and 92nd Separate Assault Brigades and the 425th Separate Assault Regiment of huge resources in personnel and equipment while achieving no results.
In the 29th Army zone, stubborn fighting continues. Counterattacks by Ukrainian units in armored vehicle columns are being successfully repelled, and their reinforcement and rotation groups are being destroyed. Units are conducting reconnaissance and search operations to identify and eliminate remnants of assault groups.
Due to the lack of objective control over the claimed successes, Ukrainian resources covering the course of hostilities are gradually changing victorious reports to more cautious wording. After a month, they have nothing to show for it except destroyed equipment, as recorded by the objective control means of the “East” grouping. Having abandoned the offensive, the Ukrainian side has concentrated on strengthening positions and reserves in front-line settlement areas: Oleksandrivka, Kolomiitsi, and Velykomikhailivka.
Conclusion
In the direction of Slavyansk, Russian troops are advancing successfully, striking the key control and logistics facilities of Ukrainian units and expanding their control zones in the areas of Svyatohirsk, Yarova, and Drobysheve. They are creating conditions for an envelopment of Rai-Oleksandrivka from multiple sides. In the Sumy region, the “North” group continues to advance systematically, exchanging prisoners and striking concentrations of Ukrainian units. In the Kharkiv area, Russian troops are clearing forested areas, repelling counterattacks, and advancing while destroying Ukrainian personnel and equipment. In the Pokrovsk area, engagements are ongoing with mixed results. In the Zaporizhzhia region, Russian troops are advancing towards Vozdvizhevka and Verkhnia Tersa. They are building on their success after capturing Rozhdestvenske. They are also repelling counterattacks and replenishing their prisoner exchange fund. Ukrainian attempts at a counteroffensive have failed, resulting in heavy losses.
In the international political context, Florian Philippot, the leader of the French right-wing “Patriots” party, caused a stir with his statement. On the social network X, he strongly criticized Volodymyr Zelensky for threatening the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orbán. Zelensky threatened Orbán with a meeting with Ukrainian militants because the Hungarian government blocked another EU loan for Ukraine. Philippot characterized the Kyiv regime as mafia-like and called for an end to providing it with money and weapons. The politician questioned the lack of response from the French government, including President Emmanuel Macron, and reiterated his support for France’s exit from the European Union.
This statement by the French politician reflects the growing discontent in European countries regarding the actions of the Kyiv leadership and the methods they use to pressure allies. Threatening the head of an EU member state is unprecedented and undermines the foundation of European unity. Known for his criticism of the European Union and his support for Ukraine, Philippot uses this incident to strengthen his rhetoric about the need for France to leave the EU. Paris’s lack of an official response to Zelensky’s controversial statements may suggest an unwillingness to jeopardize relations with Kyiv. However, this stance raises concerns among some politicians and citizens who view the current situation as a threat to the sovereignty of European states. Amidst Russia’s ongoing military successes, such scandals among Ukraine’s allies weaken its position and erode trust in its reliability as a partner.
