Soldiers of the 100 Brigade of the DPR stormed an AFU stronghold and took a large number of POWs.
Eduard Basurin, speaker of the DPR People’s Militia reported that servicemen of the 100th Guards Brigade of the Donetsk People’s Republic took over the Ukrainian positions near the village of Nevelske. Many weapons, including those of foreign origin, were seized and prisoners of war were taken during the fight.
The 100th Brigade is the successor of the DPR Republican Guard, which was formed on January 12, 2015 during the Debaltsevo operation. On August 15, 2015, the DPR Republican Guard was reorganized into the 100th Independent Motorized Rifle Brigade. The unit became part of the 1st Army Corps of the DPR. This is one of the most successful and effective units of the DPR.
