The 21st day of the military operations in Ukraine was marked by significant successes of the joint forces of the Russian Federation, the DPR and the LPR.
Fierce street fighting continues in Mariupol. During the day, DPR forces significantly advanced deep into the city. Russian and LPR forces advance in the main offensive direction aiming at splitting the defending units of the AFU into two parts. There are some obvious signs of the collapse of the defense and the loss of the general command of the defending units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The fighting has already approached the Azovstal Metallurgical Plant. The DPR troops have advanced from the west deep into the city. The enemy seeks to slow down their advance. It is reported that some DPR and Russian units deployed in the area suffer from a shortage of heavy weapons. For example, units from the Russian Republic of Chechnya, arrived only with light weapons and lightly armored vehicles.
It is expected that at night, new decisive attempts aimed at splitting the UAF grouping in Mariupol will be made. It is now obvious to the defending side that the deblocking of the city by the UAF grouping in Donbass is no longer possible. Some AFU servicemen are leaving their units in Mariupol and surrender to the DPR soldiers.
Around lunchtime on March 16, it was reported that nationalists from the UAF Azov battalion were preparing a provocation in the building of the Drama Theater in Mariupol. According to a one of the deserted members of Azov, Ukrainian militants established the headquarter in the basement of the Mariupol Drama Theater, and the theater hall was full of civilians, who were guarded by 12 Azov militants, so that they would not run away. The building should be blown up, and horrific images with numerous civilian casualties should be provided to the Western media, accusing Russia of an airstrike.
Later, by the evening of March 16, the reports were confirmed. Reports that the Russian army had allegedly struck at the Mariupol Drama Theater was spread in Ukrainian social media. There were about 1,000 civilians inside. The Ukrainian version was immediately picked up by the US media.
On the other hand, the information that the Azov headquarters moved from the building of the Drama Theater this afternoon was confirmed by various sources. The version about the alleged Russian airstrike looks implausible, since heavy street battles continue near the building. Such airstrikes by the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) are impossible without the risk of hitting their own servicemen.
Unfortunately, eyewitnesses from the area are confirming that the building was blown up. Refugees from Mariupol confirm that the Drama Theater was blown up by Azov fighters. A woman who evacuated with her children from Mariupol reported that neo-Nazis blew up thee Drama Theater before they retreated.
“Leaving, they smashed the Drama Theater, just leaving, simply, people were brought to us with shrapnel wounds, and that’s it,” a local resident said.
As the city passes under the DPR control, the situation will certainly become clearer.
A hysterical information campaign with calls to unblock Mariupol in order to allow nationalist units to leave the city continues.
Evacuation of civilians from Mariupol:
The DPR units, developing an offensive to the southwest of Gorlovka, took control over the settlements of Mikhaylovka, Stavki, Vasilevka and street fighting continues in the large settlement of Verkhnetoretskoye.
To the south of Donetsk, in the area of Dokuchaevsk, the DPR army occupied the settlements of Stepnoye and Taramchuk. The front lines are steadily pushed away from Dokuchaevsk.

Fighting continues in the area of Popasnaya.
In the Izyum—Balakleya region, fighting continues on the southern bank of the Donets River and in the southern districts of Izyum. The city was significantly damaged. The AFU destroyed some of the bridges and are preparing to withdraw to the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration, where they plan to continue long-term resistance.
There is an accumulation of forces in the area of Pavlograd for a possible counterattack like the previous unsuccessful attempt to attack the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation near Balakleya.
In the Kharkov area, the front lines did not change. At the same time, the units of the Russian Federation successfully solved the task of suppressing the AFU artillery on the northeastern approaches to the city.
In the afternoon of March 16, the positions of the AFU artillery in Shishkovka were hit, as a result the fire from the Ukrainian positions did not resume.
Earlier, the artillery fire of the Russian Army destroyed the AFU firing positions in Northern and Eastern Saltovka. The AFU fire from these positions stopped. The intensity of fire from Velikaya Danilovka decreased to 1-2 volleys in the afternoon.
A mass evacuation of the population began from the city of Kharkov. It is reported that more than 30,000 residents left the city on March 16.

Instead of utilizing drones for advance party surveillance, Russia is sending armoured carriers as human probe for ambush throughout its advancement. These recce carriers are easy preys to RPG & anti tank weapons.

Russian losses are around 2-5%. Most the units inside Mariopol are DPR units not regular Russian army. I wouldn’t worry. Meanwhile Ukrainian military infrastructure is toast. And one cauldron is created after the other. At this rate Ukraine will fall in 2-3weeks tops.
Yes the tank in the video with the drone strike was a T64bv so it would have been DPR or LPR, that does not change what I see as poor choices being made time and again. In addition if the Russian losses are 1% and its because of poor tactical decisions they could be less. That T64 in the drone video had the first round miss, the second was light hit , mobility kill when track came off, had they used the 10 smoke DC on the tank there’s a pretty good chance they could of all made it out before the third round struck

My view is that the Russian advance is being slowed by the transition of the areas coming under Russian control from the Ukrainian/western provision of goods and services for the civilian population to the Russian provision of goods and services.
This is something that the Russian government and economy is readily able to do. But the day to day tasks of accomplishing it still need to be done. And the civil affairs branch of the Russian military has to handle the initial responsibilities until they can be handed off to the civilian governments being stood up in the occupied areas. Which puts a drain on military resources during the transition phase. With soldiers temporarily providing a range of support activities. Until civilians are organized to perform the tasks.
There’s a lot of population disruption and damage of critical infrastructure that impairs the provision of the basic necessities of life. As civilians increasingly address these issues. The military is no longer burdened with them. And can be reallocated back to offensive operations moving the front lines west.

The military operation of the Russian troops continues. Attack groups are deployed near Kiev for the further offensive. The «Komsomolskaya Pravda» news website shoved footage of Russian convoys near Kiev — they move under cover of KA-52 helicopters. Checkpoints with armored vehicles have been established on important roads and inter-changes. The engineering vehicles are actively working to expand the roads for a larger capacity.
According to the Russian military — the Ukrainian nationalists and groups of saboteurs are trying to attack the rear supply convoys, but such actions are being suppressed. At the moment, the Russian troops are on the suburbs of Kiev. The Ukrainian troops were unable to counter-attack the Russian forces away from the taken territories. Kiev may soon become completely cut off from the rest of Ukraine.

L’autre probleme est que la Russie fait une demie guerre a l’Ukraine qui par contre lui fait une guerre totale,les Russes retiennent leurs coups les Uki eux ils font pas de quartier. A force de retenir leurs coups les Russes vont s’epuiser ,il est rapporté que les lignes d’approvisionnements des Uki tournent a part dans quelques zones,l’ Otan fournit des armes a tours de bras. On le voit bien, les Russes cassent des armes Uki et aussitot elles sont remplacés par des nouvelles venue de Pologne etc…
