Iranian news agencies released footage showing the moment of Iranian missile launched on US military facilities near the Iraqi cities of Baghdad and Erbil on January 8. The text in Farsi in the top right corner reads “Harsh revenge”.
The missile strike was conducted by Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps. The strike was a direct response to the US assassination of prominent Iranian general Qassem Soleimani and other Iranian and Iraqi commanders in Baghdad on January 3.
The US military and political leadership has still not provided a comprehensive reaction to the Iranian attack. US President Donald Trump is expected to deliver an adress on Wednesday morning (local time).
Very disturbing to see how many Zionists and Neocons on here wish American soldiers had died in the strike. If Iran really wanted to, they would have. But flattening some buildings, hangars, and destroying aircraft was good enough.

They justify the assassination of Soleimani by saying he was responsible for dead Americans. Meanwhile they start wishing Americans had died in the strike so they can goto war with Iran.
Iran acted with a lot of restraint and got the message across and now the sensible US establishment will control the buffoon Trump before he starts an unlimited war which US is bound to lose. If there are now limited US casualties/fatalities, the grown up in Trump administration should absorb this attack and de-escalate tensions. The alternative is an escalatory cycle that could put the entire region on fire.
I’m surprised they refrained from causing casualties and even notified the Iraqis, it goes to show they are not interested in starting a war but at the same time gave the US what they deserved.
US has been unnecessarily provoking Iran. But killing a serving officer without any justification was an act of war and Iranian government was under a lot of domestic pressure to react. Hopefully, the grown up Americans will stop this madman Trump too.
