The Russian military had targeted an air base near the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, with high-precision weapons, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced on August 27.

In the Zaporozhye direction, five attacks by the 116th Mechanised, 82nd Air Assault and 46th Airmobile brigades of Kiev forces were repelled near Rabotino and Uspenovka.

In addition, a P-37 radar station used for detecting air targets, guiding fighter aircraft and targeting anti-aircraft missile systems was destroyed near the city of Zaporozhye.

In addition, Russian news sources shared videos showing recent strikes with artillery, FPV suicide drones and Lancet loitering munitions which destroyed a British-made Mastiff mine-resistant ambush-protected vehicle and four howitzers, including an American-made M777 and a British-made FH-70.

With week 12 of Ukraine’s counteroffensive nearing its end, Kiev forces are still bogged down kilometers away from the Russian military’s first line of defense. The situation will not likely change much in upcoming weeks, especially that weather conditions are expected to worsen.
