Western Countries Continue Military Supplies To Ukraine, Realizing The Growing Risks

The Ukrainian authorities are urging Western countries to supply the country with huge batches of modern weapons. However, Kiev is already facing problems in justifying the trust of its ‘allies’, as the AFU (Armed Forces of Ukraine) have not made much progress so far.

In their turn, Western countries continue to supply weapons. The video shows the loading of the famous American M113 armored personnel carrier. Russian servicemen have previously encountered similar armored personnel carriers, Turkish ACV-15 armored personnel carriers, which are a modern modification of the M113, in Syria. Some of the armored vehicles were hit by aircraft, while others were destroyed by ATGM fire. The Netherlands, Portugal, Denmark, Lithuania, and Australia have also announced deliveries of various M113 modifications to Ukraine.

According to CNN, the U.S. will deliver the HIMARS missile system to Ukraine. The delivery could be approved as early as next week. This shipment would be sent at the request of the Kyiv authorities. Washington was reportedly wary of sending the model because it suspected that the AFU would use it to shell Russian territory, as the range of the projectile of this weapon is 300 km.

On May 30th, Biden claimed that the United States would not supply Ukraine with missile systems capable of striking Russia. Russia’s Deputy Chairman of the Security Council  Medvedev called such a decision reasonable.

Another serious concern of the Biden administration was whether the US could afford to give away so many high-quality weapons taken from the army stockpile. After all, the allocation of weapons and funds hits the U.S. treasury hard.

The US Army has signed a contract with Raytheon Technologies in the amount of $ 624.6 million for the production of Stinger MANPADS to replenish its own stocks after sending approximately 1,400 MANPADS to Ukraine. The estimated completion date of the contract is June 30, 2026.

“The contract includes provisions for engineering support, as well as testing equipment and support needed to address obsolescence, upgrade key components and accelerate production,” the company said in a statement.

Earlier, Raytheon CEO Gregory Hayes said that the company may not be able to produce more Stingers until at least 2023, and since some components are no longer available on the market, the electronics in the rocket’s head will have to be changed. Under the current contract, it is planned to purchase 1300 MANPADS.

Italy has also contributed to the Ukraine war. For example, the AFU are currently using Italian FH-70 howitzers. However, some of them were already destroyed by Russian forces. In addition to the howitzers, trucks were also transferred.

On 27 May, the foreign ministers of Germany and Poland discussed the issue of sending German weapons to Ukraine. The head of the German Foreign Ministry said that it was necessary to revise and repair heavy weapons, but added that right now Berlin is not planning to supply all of this equipment to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

In turn, Israel did not permit the re-export of Spike anti-tank missiles from German stockpiles to Ukraine. The country will continue to supply only non-lethal military equipment.

Poland has previously supplied the Piorun portable anti-aircraft missiles to Ukraine. Now the Ukrainian Armed Forces are using it in combat operations.

Thus, it can be noted that Western countries spend huge budgets on supplies to Ukraine, but so far do not see any military success, which makes them once again think about the need to waste their own budgets.

As I understand it the US is sensibly not taking the course of supplying anything that can strike meaningfully into Russia. They will however, pump in as much as they can of ‘local’ battlefield equipment. This approach makes sense as the aim is to keep the conflict contained geographically and fight to the last Ukrainian. This is the start of finding the bottom in terms of Ukraine, which is becoming dangerous and a distraction. The problem is there a loose cannons like Britain and Poland which want to manipulate the situation into ever greater escalations. It appears the US is either signalling a split with their hysteria or it is leaving them to escalate things whilst ensuring its own safety. So we will have to see what happens here. Will Ukraine be fed with weapons and left to fight as a tool against Russia or will Ukraine wake up and realise they are really on their own – what is it EU and NATO in decades while Sweden and Finns walk in next day if they want! Ukraine increasingly looks like the useful idiot, led by an increasingly richer political idiot!

I wonder how they keep biting this equipment in,the only way you could move such heavy equipment is by freight, cargo planes and boats, there’s no boat going into Ukraine. The only three option left planes train and trucks …the Russian.couod easily step up a no fly zone and shoot any plane that pop up in radar, the next it’s freight train, they could easily destroyed all train tracks to Ukraine neighbors and they powers station, the next one is the truck bed that’s the hard one to stop.

These are being trucked in. The tactics u Of using small convoys, bringing parts of weapons systems is an age of tactic. Another notion is that supplies are being smuggles in with humanitarian convoys. Russia refrains from striking these out of some misplaced respect for IL. When weapons are mixed with humanitarian supplies, they lose any protected privileges under IL. Furthermore, if these humanitarian supplies fail to reach civilians, more death and destruction will occur, and Russia will eventually have to shoulder some of this in the future, whether through victory or a peace agreement.

CrniBlack

Humanitarian aid is already on black market sold at high price to starving population. Special packages are also sold to highest bidders then re-sold to the next in line and then only some of these weapons end up within Ukrainian army. The rest goes across the border to be sold at ME, South American and African arm markets. Ukrainian army will get good old stock from Vietnam and Korean wars sparkled by a few Maxim machines guns and some other museum pieces. The one from the picture will decorate the walls of commanding posts of Azov battalion commanders, something to show off to hungry western media at the next press interview with the famous Ukranian defenders.

Boggs

The article says the US sent 1400 manpads to Ukraine. Maybe that’s why Russians don’t do it. lol

boldrick

No, you have misread it. US has sent 1400 non-binary “men” who use tampon pads (man-pads). Russians have no effective weapons or tactics to counter such formidable force.

The west doesn’t care about their budgets. Or their people because they plan on replacing their people with third world migrants, That’s their plan. That’s because the west is run by Jews.

Or is it that these third world migrants are actually smart enough to get themselves educated and fill up the skilled employment market that your averge white person cannot because the only skill on their cv is ability to binge netflix shows and drink soda

No relations with Jews here.

Boggs

It’s funny how russophiles only complain about supplying weapons to Ukrainian soldiers. But when Russia does it to Russian soldiers, it’s all fine. LOL. They would prefer to see Ukrainians fight with one hand tied begind their backs and call it fair. Haha idiots.

Historically your the idiot here.

You and Jens!

CuttySark

No Boggs (and whatever other name you use). We disagree with supplying weapons because it will not change the outcome it will just cause more Eastern Ukranians and Ukrainian soldiers to die. As well these countries, specifically USA, is flat broke. Over 30 trillion in debt. Every weapon that goes to not making a difference in the uptime outcome are at the expense of money that is borrowed.

Antimongos

don’t be silly, the only ones who cry like women because they are sent to the front without weapons are the ukrainian soldiers and when they give them weapons they prefer to use them against the civilian population, you the nazis are filthy crybabies and cowards

Tommy Jensen

All those Russians in Russia who deliver weapons to their own Russian soldiers will be sanctioned. You can bite yourself in your own nose on that. We in the International community will do it.

Dick Von D'Astard

Ukraine is running out of soldiers wishing to fight and to operate the imported 2nd and 3rd tier weapon systems. These shipment are becoming more redundant each passing day.

Each example of Western equipment ensure that Russia gets examples that they will use to devise counter weapons / tactics and also update or replicate to use in their own arsenal. Simply stupid of the US and NATO to have supplied the level and quantity of weapons it has thus far. Now they are doubling down on stupid as the world starves and their costs to live skyrocket due to their failed sanctions.

Less than a year ago Biden enacted the biggest infrastructure push since Eisenhower, a full trillion dollars.

PS: Biden is not only YOUR president, he’s also Trump’s president.

Yes but they want do it because they care about plutocracy. At least, Trump cared a bit about the people.

of course he does not. He is working on a way to get Europe the wheat they need, They barley stopped the gas to the Dutch who have not paid for two months. Which is odd because two months ago that company told Russia to fuck off.. Germany and Italy and all of Europe continue to send weapons to kill Russians and they kill a lot of them. The Russian leaders in their wisdom keep working hard to ensure they keep sending food fuel and fertlizers to the euros killing their kids!

In short the whole thing is nothing more than some rich douche bags killing a bunch of poor douche bags cheered on by a bunch of on line douche bags! Thats our world now.

Chris Gr

There is no thing as Western nations. In fact, Western nations are the Native Americans. Europeans are the Northern nations.

The armistice is very near. Everyone now wants in as mediator. The French of course as they are experts at timely surrender. The Turks, as they will try to exact some price for being broker, like carpet merchants.

Biden says he won’t give Ukraine any weapon that can hit Russia. Hell you can throw a rock across the border Joe. The howitzers you already gave them can reach into Russia if positioned near the border. What non-sense is that Joe? It’s a sign the armistice is near.

An armistice at Ukraine’s expense. Territorial integrity sacrificed.

Every piece of overpriced ancient junk that the angloZionaZi empire of shits dumps in rump Ukropland simply makes it easier to defang the EUSSR when the time comes as well as guaranteeing the long overdue civil war reloaded in bankrupt Slumville USSA. Send it all to Ukropland and Mr Bear will confiscate what it can use and supply the rest to the “peaceful protestors” aka Bowel Movements Matter and the Aunty Fag fascists tearing Slumville to pieces for the globodemons.

Win win all around.
