Who Supplies Terrorists

On the 8th February the Syrian Army captured truck with equipment of Turkish origin.

But on the photo we could see a crate of 2x120mm mortar mines built by ex-Yugoslavia, company “Pretis” from Sarajevo. So this ammunition probably obtained via Croatia or Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Military analyst (RUSSIADEFENCE.NET) noted that “Pretis” had been under control of Serbs till the end of the Balkan war, when it became a part of a new country “Bosnia and Herzegovina”. So he assumed there are stocks that Serbs had left to the Army of Republic of Srpska, which had merged further into BiH armed forces. Equipment and ammunition were sold later mainly to Croatia.

Another analyst added that fuzes were from BINAS Bugojno, a lot of surplus of Bosnian weapons were exported to Iraq, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and other Arab nations. „BINAS“ d.d. is the successor to the former company „Slavko Rodić“, estabilished 1950. Ownership structure: State 51% and 49% private.

Majority of Osa launchers in Syria came from Croatia. As to RL90 M95 Croatia and BiH are trying to get rid of them to replace with AT4 and Carl Gustav, the same goes for RAK-12 Croatian built version of M-63 Plamen.  Strela M2s, RGB 6, RAK-12, VHS1/2, Agram 2000, M60 recoilless guns and a lot of various types of ammunition originating from Croatian and BiH stocks has been spotted and documented in Syria and Iraq.
