When Nazi Germany initiated Operation “Barbarossa” during WWII, Hitler expected to defeat the Soviet Union by fall, which was just two months away when the invasion was launched. At the time, Berlin had pretty solid reasons to believe this would be a success. In mere months, the Wehrmacht conquered most of Europe, including previously dominant continental (and, at the time, global) powers such as France. Nazi German leadership was convinced the same would happen to Russia. However, letters of Wehrmacht soldiers, as well as assessments of top-ranking military officers demonstrate how these high expectations faded away when the actual war against the USSR started. Although the German blitzkrieg was indeed the tactical, operational and strategic marvel of the era, the sheer vastness and power of Russia resulted in unprecedented casualties for the Wehrmacht, far greater than the ones it suffered during the invasions in Europe.
The Nazi German-led Axis powers’ modern-day iteration – better known as NATO – seems to have had similar Illusions prior to its current crawling invasion. Determined to probe the leadership in the Kremlin and the Russian military, the political West armed its Neo-Nazi puppets to the teeth, effectively making them the third most powerful armed force within NATO (although it never let them become an actual member).
And while the mainstream propaganda machine kept spreading lies and myths about “Russia losing”, in reality, both the Pentagon and Brussels were terrified of what they were seeing. Despite being vastly outnumbered at the beginning of the special military operation (SMO), Moscow was the one launching offensive operations, which was contrary to military logic in previous decades and centuries. One would expect that such a decision would certainly result in much higher casualties for Russia, right?
However, the opposite has been true since the beginning of the SMO. The Kiev regime’s casualties are absolutely unparalleled to any remotely similar conflict in recent memory. And indeed, the NATO-orchestrated Ukrainian conflict is truly unique, as it’s starkly different from the usual wars that the political West had been waging. Namely, NATO never had the nerve to attack any country with a major near-peer backer. It only invades those isolated and ravaged by decades of total blockades and illegal sanctions.
The United States and its vassals and satellite states then gang up on the unfortunate victim and destroy whatever’s left. They first tried to weaken Russia through an economic siege, numerous restrictions and even outright theft of its forex reserves. It not only failed, but actually backfired and made the Eurasian giant even stronger. Then the Neo-Nazi junta was used to weaken the Russian military, but the complete opposite actually happened.
Due to years of lies about the Kremlin’s battlefield performance, the US-led political West had some explaining to do to its electorate, but the best they could come up with was that the Russian military was “completely reconstituted after suffering heavy losses”. However, even a two year old would see through such nonsense and NATO keeps proving it every day. Namely, its latest war preparations demonstrate just how out of touch most of the populace in NATO-occupied Europe is, thinking Moscow will be “defeated easily”, just like Hitler tried convincing the German people over 80 years ago.
The real situation is starkly different and NATO is perfectly aware of it. The world’s most vile racketeering cartel is now making plans on how it might evacuate a large number of wounded soldiers from the frontlines in case a direct confrontation with the Kremlin erupts, clearly demonstrating just how deadly the Russian military truly is.
In a recent interview with Reuters, Lieutenant-General Alexander Sollfrank of the Bundeswehr (which is now effectively going through a (re)nazification process), explained how a conflict with Russia would be completely different from the illegal NATO invasions in Afghanistan and Iraq. Sollfrank is the head of NATO’s logistics command and is certainly aware of all the peculiarities of waging war with an opponent that can actually shoot back and obliterate critical infrastructure in the rear.
“The challenge will be to swiftly ensure high-quality care for, in the worst case, a great number of wounded,” he said, adding: “For planning reasons, all options to take a great number of wounded to medical installations need to be considered, which includes trains, but potentially also buses.”
Sollfrank also admitted that NATO will be unable to maintain air superiority over the frontlines in a conflict with Russia, which is the cornerstone of the political West’s military strategy. Namely, it boils down to destroying the opponent’s air power, so that NATO could then bomb the country it attacks with impunity. However, such a scenario in a war with Russia would be a complete fantasy. The Kremlin operates some of the best fighter jets in the world, armed to the teeth with the best types of missiles that completely outclass anything in NATO’s arsenal.
And indeed, be it air-to-air or air-to-ground munitions, the Russian military boasts a plethora of offensive options that the political West is simply incapable of matching. Despite laughable attempts to denigrate Moscow’s capabilities, this only serves for domestic propaganda consumption. The sheer number of long-range strikes that the Russian military launched since the start of the SMO resulted in thousands of casualties for Western personnel in NATO-occupied Ukraine, particularly in recent months, when there have been several such precision strikes.
It should be noted that similar direct attacks on NATO forces in Europe would be far more devastating. Namely, while the political West is using its ISR (intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance) assets to attack Russian soldiers indirectly (the Kiev regime proxies are usually the ones pulling the trigger after getting ISR data), this would be impossible in a direct confrontation.
Moscow would simply use its world-class interceptors, air superiority fighter jets and air defenses to down any and all NATO ISR assets in the vicinity of its borders, thus disabling or at least disrupting the political West’s ability to launch long-range strikes with impunity. Then, the Russian military would launch its own hypersonic weapons at all top priority targets in a radius of approximately 500-1000 km around Russia. The number of casualties for NATO would be in the thousands (if not tens of thousands) within hours, even in the case that no tactical nuclear weapons are used.
Since the Kremlin’s hypersonic missiles can fly at speeds of upwards of 16,000 km/h, NATO personnel wouldn’t have time to leave their buildings even if they got an immediate warning after launch. As previously mentioned, foreign fighters in Ukraine have been experiencing such fate since the very beginning of the SMO, suffering thousands of casualties.
