With Russian Support, Syrian Forces Continue Combing Operation On Homs-Deir Ezzor Highway

Syrian government forces are still working to secure the M20 highway, which links Homs with Deir Ezzor, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported on January 20.

Units of the Syrian Arab Army 5th Corps, the National Defense Forces and the Palestinian al-Quds Brigade kicked off a large-scale combing operation to secure the highway last week. The operation came in response to a series of attacks by ISIS cells on troops and civilians traveling on the highway.

On December 30, ISIS cells ambushed a bus near the town of Kabbajb on the M20. 25 people, including civilians, were killed.

The Russian Aerospace Forces support the operation. Russian warplanes have been providing government troops with close air support for almost a week now.

“Russian jets have executed nearly 40 airstrikes, in the past 24, on Aleppo-Hama-Raqqa triangle in the Syrian desert where ISIS cells are prevalent,” the SOHR said in a report.

A day earlier, a patrol of the 5th Corps was attacked on the M20. An ISIS terrorist approached the patrol on a motorcycle and threw a hand grenade. Two service members were reportedly killed and three others were injured.

The ongoing operation on the M20 is the largest in a long time. While the operation could help to secure the highway for a short term, it will not put an end to the threat of ISIS in the central region. The terrorist group’s cells are taking shelter in the Homs desert, south of the highway. They allegedly receive support from US-backed fighters in al-Tanf.

Corrected your article title: With Russian Support, Syrian Forces Continue To Futilely Plug Holes In The Sinking Ship of Homs-Deir Ezzor Highway.

Hind Abyad

Homs is Christian Province in Syria.. https://twitter.com/sahouraxo/status/1351961095724908546

Hind Abyad

This made me proud, God i hope no one touches him.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

No it’s not, it’s majority Sunni Arab, Christians only make up just over 10% of the population, Alawites 15%, which more or less the same as the rest of the country, there are actually more Christians living in Aleppo.

Hind Abyad

You know nothing about Syria or the Levant or our history, millions of Christians fled after the Armenian Genocide, by Kurds, Erdogan Christian hater, the Israel Christian haters financing ISIS…allied with Wahhabi Christian haters (and much more). It’s late good night

Willing Conscience (The Truths

A lot of people tell me that, and it’s usually people like you who know even less about Syria. Homs isn’t a Christian Governorate, and there are no Christian Governorates at all in Syria, they’re all apart from one predominantly Arab majority, that includes Al Hasakah where the majority of the Kurds live, and Ar Raqqah and Aleppo where the majority of the Turkmen population live, and the only Governorate in Syria that does have an overwhelming majority of one ethnic/religious group is As Suwayda Governorate, which is basically all Druze.

Hind Abyad

Idlib Governorate (Arabic: مُحافظة ادلب‎ /: Muḥāfaẓat Idlib) is one of the 14-governorates of Syria. It is situated in northwestern Syria, bordering Turkey’s Hatay province to the north, Aleppo

Governorate to the east, Hama Governorate to the south, and Latakia Governorate to the west under ‘rebel’ control.

The remainder of ‘rebel’-held territory is dubbed by publications such as Reuters, the BBC and Agence France-Presse as Syria’s last rebel stronghold”. PS Mani Druze converted to Christianity they’re stil Druze, doesn’t ineterfear with their beliefs..

HuggyBear

Actually more like Mammon the almighy Rothschild SHEKEL!

Willing Conscience (The Truths

The Druze religion is probably more compatible with Christianity than it is other Islamic denominations, and you could probably say the same for the Alawite denomination too. Latakia has a high proportion of Alawites so I was wrong before, 50% Alawite, 40% Sunni and 10% Christian, so there’s 2 governorates that have ethnic/religious majorities, Latakia and As Suwayda., but no Christian majorities I’m afraid.

Hind Abyad

Willing tutu.. Syria is Secular I’m afraid! Kurd were immigrants in Syria thanks to Zionist WW1. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/2dd3a46a8c067e598e9e7c9b071b392593c210630ed6edbcd251a9307836f7ce.png https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/debdf566a0a88117eff764a7439f5f6dbc0277957773fd272fd7b153df50210c.png

Willing Conscience (The Truths

Yes Syria is secular and hopefully it’ll stay that way, but Iranian activities are slowly changing that in Government held areas of Deir ez Zor, Sunni children now have to learn Shia doctrines while attending school, even though it’s supposed to be against Syrian law to indoctrinate children attending school, they’re supposed to learn that after school, but in the areas Iran controls the law must’ve changed. I know history and history tells us the Kurds have lived in the same areas of what we now call Turkey, Syria, Iraq, Iran, for 3,000 years, only the Persian’s/Iranians are able to make the same claims, all the rest came after the Kurds, it was the Kurdish homelands long before they became anyone else’s. What you’re referring to is a modern development, modern boundaries means now there are Turkish Kurds, Syrian Kurds, Iraqi Kurds, and Iranian Kurds, but before that they were just the Kurds and Persians.

Hind Abyad

British Marc Sykes converted to Zionism made French Picots gave Kurd rights to migrate to Syria. They are Israeli allies opening Syria for Israeli settlers…

If ..”only when the stateless Kurd in Syria have been fully nationalized and the broader issue of the Kurdish place in Syrian political, social, and…” Where were Kurd living since 3000 years in Syria?? https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/56f176c911391983925f6c71ad552e872ee4ef9f330cab4a83ea59204573bfc3.jpg https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/a96077c1318e84777b67bf6036f1404178ebc328765be2bd36248223a0036db3.jpg https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/4b448e4b2df835b0ccfbe61c771b83c03912a445e18296876af621ee48920b7f.jpg https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/0dfc3f289c07fdd7b7b6ffb30d5aa64749da5702e51115111fe2a7ffa425326c.png https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/a1a0c9bc784c7bef681e5caf046c7a4c5e221b80fa4e20e2b5ce3d18949ba989.png

Willing Conscience (The Truths

Assad’s already changed their status, of the 250,000 Kurds that didn’t have Syrian citizenship the vast majority of them do now, and Assad made some other changes as well, he’s actually looked after the Kurds despite the fact they’re working with the US. The Kurds have lived in the same general locations for 3,000 years, the Greeks and Romans spoke about them in high regards, and then the Persians incorporated them into the Persian Empire and that’s where they’ve remained until the Persian Empire disintegrated and the Persian Empire eventually became Turkey, Syria, Iraq, and Iran, [and a few other countries] but the Kurds haven’t moved, the international boundaries moved, then they were called Turkish Kurds, Syrian Kurds, Iraqi Kurds, or Iranian Kurds.

Hind Abyad

So what? Deal with PKK Öcalan Kurds! You mean the Zionist ”International boundaries”

”Modern-day Syria, a country located in the Middle East on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea, is one of the most ancient inhabited regions on Earth. The oldest human remains found in Syria date back to roughly 700,000 years ago. Archaeologists have uncovered skeletons and bones of Neanderthals that lived in the region during this period.”

Zionist WW1 changed names of Mesopotamia as Iraq, Persia as Iran..Syria ancient Canaan was Palestine in Syria, Mesopotamia- Mount Lebanon was a mountain in Syria till 4th Cent. AD.

Hashemite Arabia fell to Zionists demands and given to a 200yrs Wahhabi Sect Desert raiders; Al Saoud. (1920).

Google, Wikipedia, Britannica, Atlantica, Etcetera…untrustworthy.. fake.. edited vandalized.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

You’re a moron, Russia and Turkey did even more to change the boundaries of the Persian Empire, you get a complete fail in history.

Kurd, Persian and Turk are not Arab. How did they become Syrian and Iraqi? Zionist Sikes-Picot WW1 1915, 250,000 Lebanese died from Famine on Mount Lebanon

Willing Conscience (The Truths

Persians were a very early Aryan migration into this area, possibly7,000 years ago, they either displaced the local Semitic and associated Arab populations, and about 3,000 years ago people who would later become the Ottomans began arriving in Persian territory, and about 500 years ago the Ottoman Empire completely displaced Persia from many areas. The Kurds ethnic makeup is varied, they have Semitic, classical Arab, which is a mixture of Semitic and north African, and some Aryan genetic makeup, but then again so do most Arabs. People in Syria, Lebanon and Turkey also have European genes mixed into their genetic heritage, so WTF are you getting at you dumb racist.

Hind Abyad

The only original Jews in Middle East are from King Cyrus time living in Iran ancient Persia. People in Syria, Palestine, Lebanon are from the Stone Ages, not from Europe, they where mixed with Crusaders that stayed there and intermarried 1000 years ago. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/d8e57bc34d4c91ad4f64284e9ffbf0a88e5ff38a9d2b8923ef61bcf19a5ce430.png https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/bbb81c5f6b102d031d079aba1db0e600faacb065f6a79788ae14084aff3bf96f.jpg https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/3f1f6bac357969cd11bd0f048d490c1daeb18888f67deacf35daacb9809b723b.jpg https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/97b197224932582040a1625f6304eb5275101c537ca24ac5b9002f7bbcf1c3cb.jpg https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/80d928b238efbc983ea0f1ba3fe860f541317459e2d582561c6c2b001763daf5.jpg https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/46b9ed740dae8f5472789e4793e2b6af9697205306c4e1a9bb7d43c1589b959f.jpg

Here is a thought: The Kurds were not given their own homelands in the post Ottoman carveup of lands because they are sitting on huge reserves of oil.

The mighty Shekel!

They identify with Israel because they too were a Nation without lands

Willing Conscience (The Truths

Spot on, if it wasn’t for the oil no one would bother with the Kurds, most of their traditional homelands are areas no one really wanted before oil was discovered.

HuggyBear

So what is your solution?

Hind Abyad

Kurd took Assyrian lands when they emigrated from Turkey after WW1.

British Marc Sykes converted to Zionism made France Picots give Kurd right to migrate to Syria. These Kurd are Israeli allies opening Syria for Israeli settlers…

Hind Abyad

He’s talking about PKK Kurdistan.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

Let the Kurds and Syrian Government work it out for themselves with absolutely no outside interference, that’s my solution.

HuggyBear

Global Zionism interferes everywhere ? so that is no solution.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

This map is total and utter crap, it’s not only misleading it’s also inaccurate, especially if you’re trusting what the article has to say about logistical help from Al Tanf. If you want to use the very best map available put this one in your browser, https://syria.liveuamap.com/ It claims to be totally independent but has links to US interests, but despite that it’s proven to be the most accurate and informative map I’ve ever used bar none, it’s the Lamborghini of all Syrian battle maps. It’s easy to use and nearly always first to report on new events [99% of the time], it also has a timeline feature that allows you to look back at how event unfolded so you can see for yourself just why and how things happened, and it’s zoomable too which is awesome. So if you want to know exactly who Isis is attacking and exactly where they’re attacking them, and want to know exactly where the SAA and Russia are attacking Isis, use the map I linked. You deserve a decent map if you want to know what’s happening and where it’s happening, and sometimes why it’s happened, so do yourself a favor and at least try the map out. Then you can see for yourselves exactly where Isis is operating, hiding, and being attacked, and maybe even work out the most likely places Isis is receiving logistical support from, because the last place I’d think they could use as a logistical depot would be Al Tanf.

As for now, Rothschild’$$$ massively pushes propaganda against Assad ”Regime” (..) ”As-Suwayda residents’ condemns Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and the upcoming election” ***Out of the blues *** ‘AS-SUWAYDA, Syria — On Monday, in an unprecedented move in the Druze-majority As-Suwayda Province, activists circulated pictures condemning Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and the upcoming elections, which most external observes say will not be a free election. A journalist from As-Suwayda, who requested to remain anonymous, told Orient-news.net that he did not know if these demonstrations were in coordination with the campaign No to Assad’s Legitimacy and Elections. However, it is an unprecedented step that paves the way for increased tension between the Druze community and Assad regime.”
