As you know, on February 12, PayPal frozen SouthFront’s main account (southfront@list.ru) under a vain pretext. We immediately appealed this decision, but PayPal rejected our request to restore this account.
On February 15, we had a phone conversation with a PayPal Support Team employee and the situation became fully clear. The decision to censor SouthFront was politically and ideologically motivated. It was not related to any SouthFront activity in the payment system. MORE HERE
However, we did not give up. SouthFront registered a new PayPal account and provided comprehensive data and documents to verify it.

Why using .ru accounts? There are plenty of alternatives.
Greetings, SouthFront’s original PayPal account has always had a .ru address and that this address has always been public and easily found on southfront.org. Therefore, we think it is a good tradition to keep it and further. Also, we do not want to upset our fans in the State Department. Without .ru address, it would be even harder for them to issue tons of toilet paper alleging that SouthFront secretly works for the Kremlin or Russian intelligence services (for example, the mighty GRU). The State Department has many sources. While your concern is admirable, there’s no need to fear the agency will experience a nanoseconds difficulty should SF drop PayPal like Russia dropped Central Bank in, or around 2015.
the minute paypal started to be nosey in ppl lives you guys should had droped, this bastards should be regulated as utilities so they do not have that excuse of private company just like most hypocrisy in the world right now they want to be treated as “people” (companies)corporate power) but then when they crossed the line they dont want to be “prosecuted” as they should.
