On August 24, the Ukrainian media accused the Russian military of another alleged attack on civilians in Ukraine. Russian Iskander missiles hit a train in the Dnepropetrovsk region.
The attack hit the train in the Chaplino railway station. The Kiev regime accused Russia of attacking a train with civilians. On the same day, Ukrainian president Zelensky claimed in his speech at the UN Security Council that at least 15 people were killed and about 50 more people were wounded, four passenger cars were on fire.
On August 25, the Russian Ministry of Defence revealed the target of the attack in the daily briefing. It turned out that Russian Iskander missiles hit a military train with military equipment and reservists on their way to the Donbass front lines.
As a result, 200 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were killed and 10 pieces of military equipment were destroyed.
Ukrainian media only published photos of burned passenger cars, hiding the military echelon. However, videos from the spot confirm that this was a military train carrying military equipment and servicemen. Another lie of Vladimir Selensky supported by Ukrainian was immediately revealed.

Among the other targets of Russian missiles there was the Mirgorod military airfield in the Poltava region where five military aircraft were destroyed. The command post of the Ukrainian grouping “Kakhovka” was destroyed near the town of Novy Bug in the Mykolaiv region. As a result of the strike, 64 Ukrainian servicemen and 7 units of military equipment were destroyed. The Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed an enterprise for the repair of armored weapons and MLRS, including foreign-made ones, in the Khmelnitsky region. In the city of Zaporozhye, the workshops of the Iskra plant, where Ukrainian air defense and counter-battery radar stations were repaired, were hit.

The train that was hit , a passenger train, was on another set of tracks from the train pulling military trucks on flat beds. The tracks take trains in opposite directions. Unless one was there who knows where the truth lies. The passenger train could have been carrying troops or civilians or both and the train pulling flatbeds with trucks may have been taking the trucks for repair or going to the frontlines. If you were not there then you do not know which.

Based on military knowledge of Russian illustrious history, I would beg to differ and point out a few ground realities since Russian campaigns of the 18th and 19th century. As an intelligence officer I must point to historical precedents for such western media hyped up hesitation by Russian forces over the past two months.
I must cite observations by WW2 historian BH Liddell Hart of the puzzling behavior of the Red Army World War II after the critical victory at Kursk: Advance of Russian forces was very slow and never able to decisively exploit obvious holes in the German line. But the successes kept coming and the Red Army leadership never risked or incurred a major loss or a major flanking movement again as had happened at the outset of Germany’s Operation Barbarossa.
It’s a valid and important observation. The initial Russian rush in Kiev was clearly based on faulty intelligence, low troop numbers inspiring sloppy Blitzkrieg-type advances without in-depth logistical back-up. The Russians are tough and masters of innovation and are on the front again.
