2038 refugees have returned to Syria from Lebanon over the last 24 hours, a joint HQ of the Russian Foreign and Defense Ministries said on July 25, according to the defense ministry’s newspaper Red Star.
According to the Russian military, two special border points allowing refugees to renturn have been recently opened on the Syrian borders with Lebanon and Jordan. The ministry added that three more points allowing to receive and accomodate refugees will be soon opened.
On July 18, Russia established a center for receiving, relocating and accommodating refugees in Syria and started covering its large-scale efforts to resotre the infrastructure and to improve the humanitarian situation in the country.
