On June 19, the Afrin Liberation Forces (ALF) killed eight Turkish-backed militants in a successful complex operation in the Turkish-occupied area of Afrin in northern Aleppo.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), ALF fighters raided a position of the Sham Legion near the town of Bosoufane in southern Afrin. Four militants were killed in the raid.
The dead bodies of the slain militants were booby-trapped by ALF fighters. As a result, four other militants of the Sham Legion were killed while they were trying to recover the bodies.
After the attack, the Turkish military artillery pounded the Kurdish-held towns of Herbel, Sheikh Issa and Oqbiyah south of Afrin. The artillery strikes, which burned the locals’ crops, were likely a response to the attack.
#Turkish occupation forces shelled villages belonging to the city of #Afrin and Tal Rifaat, since early morning, with heavy artillery on the villages of Akeba and Soghnakah in the #Sherawa countryside.

Kurdish sources confirmed that the ALF was behind the successful operation. Nevertheless, the guerilla group is yet to comment on the matter.
The complexity of the operation in Bosoufane indicates that the ALF is developing its tactics. The Kurdish group poses a serious threat to Turkish-backed groups in northern Aleppo, especially in Afrin.
I didn’t know ALF had it in him:
