On July 15 afternoon, a large ammunition depot of the U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) near al-Hasakah city blew up.
The depot was located right next to the residential al-Asrafiyah district in the northwestern outskirts of al-Hasakah city. A number of fire trucks and ambulances were seen rushing to the explosion site.
Initially, local sources reported that several personnel of the SDF had been killed or injured in the explosion. However, the Hawar News Agency and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights denied any human losses.
The SDF is yet to release a statement explaining the circumstances surrounding the explosion. There is still a possibility of sabotage, since this is not the first such incident.
Last month, a similar ammo depot of the SDF in northeastern al-Hasakah exploded. Some sources claimed that Turkish warplanes had struck the depot. However, the SDF didn’t provide any information on the incident.
What could it be, what couldit be?
we wait…
The sooner SDF is out of there and the Assadist Loyalists are back ,the better!
A Turkish airforce ELINT plane has crashed or shot down near the Armenian border. 7 confirmed dead.
SDF is 90,000 atrong…well supplied and well trained…it wont be easy to dislodge them
Take away American baking and they will beg Assad to look after them. like twice before already when they thought the Yanks were going to pull out. It won’t be easy to slow the stampede as they run for the hills.
So SOHR has said no casualties so will watch for an update as the locals have said there were several. Without alternative confirmation generally have to take SOHR with a grain of salt and accept their bias.
