Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced on October 9 evening that Azerbaijani forces have achieved even more gains in their battle against Armenian forces in the Nagorno-Karabakh region.
Aliyev said that Azerbaijani forces captured the settlement of Hadrut north of Ceyrayil city, as well as several villages including Chayli, Yukhari Guzlak, Gorazilli, Gishlag, Garajalli, Afandilar, Suleymanli and Sur. He described the advance a “historic victory” for the Azerbaijani nation that returned ‘occupied areas’.
“Today, the Azerbaijani army has an advantage on the battlefield both in terms of equipment and combat training,” he said.
According to the President, a large number of Armenian military vehicles have been destroyed since the military action began on September 27, including 196 tanks, 36 armored personnel carriers, an Uragan multiple launch missile system, 10 self-propelled artillery guns, a S-300 air defense system, and 25 Osa anti-aircraft missile systems.
In own turn, the Armenian Defense Ministry denined claims about the Azerbaijan control over Gadrut.
Fierce clashes between Azerbaijan and Armenia have been ongoing in Karabakh as negotiations involving Foreign Ministers of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan are underway in Moscow.

Turkey Holds Idlib, Afrin, Al-bab, Jarablus, and the recently captured northeast territories of the Kurds. I don’t see Turkey withdrawing anytime soon. They hold a good junk of Syrian lands and I don’t see them withdrawing anytime soon for atleast the coming decades
Syria is totally different. Turkey has so many enemies there. Kurds and Assad can wage guerilla warfare and drive out Turks if Russia and Iran gives them green lights. Russia is free to bomb those that Russia considers dangerous like HTS.
In Syria, Assad can kill those Syrian rats on his own if Turkey is not involved.
N-K is totally different situation. Armenia has no legal basis. And Azerbaijan is much stronger.
