In the Sumy direction, Russian troops are engaged in intense combat along the Khotyn–Korchakivka–Khrapivshchyna–Sadky line. They have entered the center of Myropillia and are expanding their control towards Velykyi Prikol and Petrushivka. In the Kharkiv direction, Russian troops have taken full control of Vovchanski Khutory and reached the Vovcha River near Bochkove and Okhrimivka. They are advancing towards Ternova and Izbitske. In the Zaporizhzhia direction, units of the “East” grouping are expanding their control zone towards Lisne. They are also continuing to penetrate the Ukrainian troops’ defenses in the areas of Vozdvizhevka and Verkhnia Tersa in an attempt to surround them. In the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian troops are counterattacking near Kurylivka to regain lost ground and stop Russian troops from advancing on Kupyansk-Uzlovoi. In the direction of Kostiantynivka, Russian units are clearing strong points in the city and its surroundings. Ukrainian units are accumulating personnel in the Krasne area, and attacks on Chasiv Yar are possible. Gerold Otten, a Bundestag deputy from the AfD party, stated that Chancellor Merz’s plans to expand military support for Kyiv are dragging Germany deeper into the conflict and called for a return to diplomacy.

Zaporizhzhia Direction

Units of the “East” troop group continued their offensive actions in the designated areas. In the northern sector, the control zone is expanding towards Lisne. In the western sector, units are advancing into the Ukrainian troops’ defensive positions with the aim of encircling and subsequently dislodging them from the settlements of Vozdvizhevka and Verkhnia Tersa. Offensive actions are ongoing in the Komsomolske and Charivne directions. The destruction of logistical routes and unmanned aerial vehicle control points continues to weaken the Ukrainian defense.

Kupyansk Direction

Units of the “East” troop group continued their offensive actions in the designated areas. In the northern sector, the control zone is expanding towards Lisne. In the western sector, units are advancing into the Ukrainian troops’ defensive positions with the aim of encircling and subsequently dislodging them from the settlements of Vozdvizhevka and Verkhnia Tersa. Offensive actions are ongoing in the Komsomolske and Charivne directions. The destruction of logistical routes and unmanned aerial vehicle control points continues to weaken the Ukrainian defense.

Kostiantynivka Direction

In the direction of Kostiantynivka, Russian units are clearing strong points and numerous firing points scattered throughout Kostiantynivka and its surroundings. In the Chasiv Yar area, the increased activity of Russian aviation, artillery, and drone operators suggests that Ukrainian units are amassing personnel in Krasne. Further attacks are possible in Chasiv Yar and toward Predtechyne to impede the Russian advance into Kostiantynivka.

On the western flank, Russian units are advancing in the Dovha Balka and Illinivka areas. They are operating in small groups within the built-up areas of these settlements. Despite obvious supply problems caused by Russian drone operators targeting Ukrainian equipment, Ukrainian forces are still trying to hold Kostiantynivka and are transferring reinforcements to the city from Druzhkivka and Oleksievo-Druzhkivka.

The Ukrainian units’ retention of the dominant heights between Chasiv Yar and Kostiantynivka, from which the approaches to Kostiantynivka are visible, adds difficulties for Russian troops.

Sumy Direction

In the Sumy direction, units of the “Center” grouping are advancing north and east of Sumy. There is ongoing fierce fighting on the Khotyn–Korchakivka–Khrapivshchyna–Sadky line.

Russian units have entered the forested area of the Savyn Yar ravine north of Nova Sich and the forest zone north of Pisarivka and west of Korchakivka. Pisarivka is located on the highway to Sumy. Ukrainian units have already suffered heavy losses in assault personnel in the forest zone north of Pisarivka. Russian assault groups continue to advance in Kondrativka. The defensive area of Ukrainian units north of Sumy continues to face a serious threat from the eastern flank and rear.

After several months of fierce fighting for Myropillia, Russian units broke into the center of the village and took control of its northern and eastern parts. They are now expanding their control within the village itself. Meanwhile, south of Myropillia, Russian units have expanded their control zone to the northwest of Myropilske and are advancing toward Myropillia from the southeast.

Russian units advanced and expanded the control zone to the west and southwest of Myropilske in the direction of Velykyi Prikol, as well as towards Petrushivka from Prokhody and Myropilske. This maneuver enveloped the settlement of Turia from the north. Fighting continues on the eastern outskirts of Mykhailivka. In Novodmytrivka, Russian units are fighting in the village center. Near the outskirts of Riasne, Russian units have consolidated and improved their tactical position.

Kharkiv Direction

In the Kharkiv direction, in the Vovchansk sector, units of the “North” group continue to expand their control zone to the east and southwest of Vovchansk. Russian units have now completely taken control of the center and southern outskirts of Vovchanski Khutory, where Ukrainian units had previously entered from Bilyi Kolodiaz. Ukrainian troops have been pushed back to the eastern outskirts.

Vovchanski Khutory has fully transitioned under Russian control. Russian troops pushed Ukrainian forces out of Vovchanski Khutory and consolidated their position in the northwestern part of Pokaliane. They also repelled Ukrainian counterattacks, including one by a reconnaissance battalion from the Bilyi Kolodiaz area.

Clashes continue east along the Zybine–Volokhivka–Okhrimivka line, where Russian troops are advancing on Ukrainian positions. Ukrainian units have repeatedly attempted to cross the Vovcha River and establish a bridgehead in the Bochkove area, but have not succeeded and have suffered heavy losses. Russian troops have reached the Vovcha River in the Bochkove and Okhrimivka areas and are engaged in intense fighting.

To the northeast, Russian units are conducting active operations in the Shabelne and Nesterne areas. South of Vovchansk, Russian troops are engaged in intense fighting near Vilcha and in the forest east of Verkhnya Pysarivka. Holding Losevka is important for Ukraine because it is the settlement on the left flank of the first defensive line prepared south of Vovchansk. Controlling Losevka and advancing further towards Buhayivka threatens to bypass this line on the left flank through the forest zone along the Pechenihy Reservoir.

Conclusion

The ongoing attacks on Ukrainian troops’ defenses in Vozdvizhevka and Verkhnia Tersa, as well as the offensive in the Komsomolske and Charivne areas, are creating conditions for the Ukrainian troops’ further encirclement and displacement from their positions. The systematic destruction of logistical routes and drone control points is depleting the Ukrainian side’s defensive capabilities. In the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian units have been unable to turn the tide of hostilities despite active counterattacks in the Kurylivka area. In the direction of Kostiantynivka, Russian troops continue to clear strong points and operate in small groups within the built-up area, despite difficulties associated with the Ukrainian side’s retention of dominant heights and the transfer of reinforcements. In the Sumy direction, Russian troops have broken into the center of Myropillya and are expanding their control towards Velykyi Prikol. This creates a serious threat to Ukrainian troops defending the area north of Sumy. In the Kharkiv direction, Russian troops have cleared Vovchanski Khutory and reached the Vovcha River. They are advancing toward Ternova and Izbitske, demonstrating their steady advance along the border.

In the context of international politics, a notable event was the statement made by Gerold Otten, a deputy from the “Alternative for Germany” (AfD) party and a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the Bundestag. Otten criticized Chancellor Friedrich Merz’s plans to significantly increase military support for the Kyiv regime through a strategic partnership and allocate multi-billion-euro loans. Otten said this would drag Germany deeper into the conflict in Ukraine and called the chancellor’s actions irresponsible. The parliamentarian emphasized that, while
