On June 30th and in the early hours of July 1st, Hebrew-language media are reporting that Hamas fired some 20 rockets from Gaza into the sea overnight, seemingly as a protest against annexation plans.

The Israeli reports cite unspecified “Palestinian reports,” though in Palestinian media, all reports are attributed to Israeli reports.

Video posted on social media purports to show the rockets being fired, though an Israeli journalist who tweeted the footage later admits it is from 2018 and apologized.

The Israeli army says it does not know of Hamas shooting any rockets into the sea or anywhere else overnight, Walla reporter Amir Bohbot tweets.

July 1st was declared a “Day of Rage” and the rockets were launched as a form of warning to the Israeli government against its plans to annex further parts of the West Bank and Jordan Valley.

Hamas itself called for a “day of rage” in Gaza and the West Bank in response to the anticipated announcement of an Israeli plan to annex parts of the West Bank.

The Gazan branches of Islamic Jihad and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine will also take part in the event, saying they hope for “numerous and widespread participation” across Gaza and the West Bank.

According to statements by the Gaza-led group, protesters will gather in Gaza City and march westward towards the Mediterranean, perhaps to avoid contact with Israeli forces at Gaza’s border fence to the east.

“The resistance will topple our enemy’s ploy to divide our homeland,” Hamas spokesperson Hazim Qasim said in a statement.

Pro-Palestinian demonstrations against Israel’s planned annexation of West Bank territory also took place across the US.

The demonstrations were in Chicago, San Diego, Brooklyn, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. International activists in Canada and Spain will also hold separate rallies.

In relation to the protests or not, it is fact that Israel appears to have given up on following on its annexation plans on July 1st.

Zionism = EVIL

What a bunch of stupid fucks, instead of targeting Zionists they are firing at fish, now wonder the Zionist cunts are annexing all of Palestine. Imagine Hezbollah firing rockets into the Mediterranean.

Simon Ndiritu

Unless targeting INS Hanit or other vessels

d'Artagnan

Hezbollah has quiet strength and never draws its weapons unless they mean it.

Simon Ndiritu

Those guys are very bright and adequately armed. They surprised IDF with both the weapons and tactics. Even IDF leadership admitted that striking INS Hanit was unprecedented. Of importance, they don’t waste munitions but they show the enemy that they mean business.

d'Artagnan

Hamas and Palestinians must learn to fight like Hezbollah in a sustained resistance struggle.

<>

Such a shame, I wanted an operation in Gaza. C’mon Hamas, shoot some rockets so we can open your asses good.

Kenny Jones ™

Funny how the only thing we agree on is wanting a zionist ground operation in Gaza, for different goals of course..

<>

True Kenny, but even you know deep down inside that if we decide to throw Hamas to the sea we can do it, the only question is in which price.

Kenny Jones ™

The price: your economy, but what do you have to worry about, you’d just grab it from the US taxpayers, billions and billions

why this cut-off date of 1st July was postponed…any reason?

d'Artagnan

He is a liar and a child without any knowledge or whiff of reality, I am certain that he does not even live in the region as all his posts are total nonsense. He has shut other accounts as they were caught out and now it is time to close this one too.

<>

Our PM was threatened with sanctions, and the U.S didn’t approve the annexation, so for now it is postponed.

d'Artagnan

You are a repeating liar without any credibility, close this hasbara account like the other ones as you failed in the “annexation” nonsense.

<>

That is my only account, don’t kill the messanger I wanted to fight and kill Islamists but Bibi had other plans.

Saubhik Ghosh, frnd of israel

thanks Israel for supporting India against China….Barak8 defence systems already received…we will give both chinese and pakistanis a bloody nose

d'Artagnan

Doubt that.

<>

Goodluck man, we stand with you!

Saubhik Ghosh, frnd of israel

d'Artagnan

You are a proven liar and a stupid child. There was no “annexation” any part of Palestine on July1 as you have been yelping, now it is time to close this fake account too as you have no shame or honor.
