On May 17, the Shura Council of Mujahedeen in Derna (SCMD) repelled an attack of the Libyan Nation Army (LNA) on its positions in the districts of Bab Shyha and Bab Tobruq in the southern and eastern parts of the city of Derna, according to the Qatari al-Jazeera TV.

The pro-SCMD news outlet Derna Red Line (DRL) said that SCMD fighters had killed more than ten LNA soldiers and had captured four vehicles of the LNA. The DRL also acknowledged that three fighters of the SCMD had been killed during the clashes in the city.
The Africa Gate News confirmed that the LNA had failed to advance in the Bab Shyha district due to the heavy shelling by the SCMD on its positions south of Derna.
According to al-Jazeera, warplanes and unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAV) of the LNA and its allies carried out several airstrikes on positions and vehicles of the SCMD in Derna after the failed attack.
Libyan sources reported that the LNA is now massing more troops around Derna. This allows to suggest that the LNA is preparing to launch a bigger ground attack on the SCMD positions in Derna soon.

As the Afghan army supported by the USA and the Taliban, the LNA need to destroy the SCMD with UAE and Egyptian support! Finish off the terrorist rats!

The real question is if the SCMD is receiving supplies by boat and if the LNA has the means of cutting off that flow. I think the answer to that question will decide the battle.

afaik they have used some of the aircraft that were in the pre-war LARAF inventory. L-39s and MiG-21s for example. In regars to agricultural planes, I find it hard to believe that they imported any of them after the removal of Qaddafi.
There could be some Antonovs – 2 around the country, perhaps some warpac era Polish or Czechoslovakian models, but i find more likely that different level trainers were used in the light bomber / coin role.
that said, it’s hard to exclude anything given the amount of turmoil the country is in since 2010
Looks like Libyan Navy is under the control of a 3rd faction. So they may not help either side.
