On July 7, Iran held a ceremony that saw the delivery of modern equipment and weapons to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Ground Force.

For the first time, Iran unveiled the ground-launched version of the “Almas” anti-tank guided missile (ATGM). Previously, an air-launched version of the Almas ATGM, with a range of the 8 kilometers, was shown last year. These missiles were adopted as part of the weapons complex of the Iranian reconnaissance and strike UAVs.

Almas’ ground-launcher is almost an identical copy of the Israeli Spike ATGM.

The IRGC ground forces also received new Iranian guided missile systems with missiles in large launch pod containers. They are another example of advanced systems developed on the border between operational and tactical missile systems and large-caliber MLRS with guided missiles.

Iran always moving forward. The arrogant fools from the west wallow in stagnation and self destructive behavior.

G2 MAN

Iranian military is over a million man strong (that includes the Artesh, IRGC, Qods Force, Border Security Forces, Nuclear Protection service, Police which is quasi military with special forces, and so on). Iranian population is very youthful and the military recruitment pool is close to 48 million men). So anyone crazy enough to even contemplate “attacking Iran” would die a quick death. Iran also has a very nationalistic population and a large military industrial base geared towards fighting an asymmetrical war foe decades. The C3I is disbursed and decentarlized with regional commands and hundreds of thousands of ammunition and logistics warehouses and tunnels all over Iran’s vast 1.64 million sq kms mountain terrain.

Iranian military releases these small amounts of information to scare and confuse their enemies. Iran is a very tough 3000 year old nation with an illustrious military history and can fight any kind of war from NBC to asymmetrical and that is the reason no one has the cajones to even come near Iran. The Zionists would be toast in less than a week and they know it.

Icarus Tanović

It is more like 4000 to 5000 years.

G2 Man

A consolidated Iranian state in the form of the Persian Empire has a recorded history of 3000 years. Prior to that there were Aryan tribes that ruled large fiefdoms of present day Russia and subsequently moved south into present day Iranian plateau. The Cyrus cylinders are the first known charter of human rights and constitutional governance.

KnowTheJew

Unfortunately, none of this matters. The Jews plan to have their US Tyranny wardog drop tactical nukes on Iran in their coming planned for war on and destruction of Iran.

The Jews’ propaganda-media will propagandize that the use of nuclear weapons is only to target Iran’s nuclear facilities and capacity. In reality, the nuclear weapons’ real targets will be Iran’s infrastructure and economic base–the people of Iran.

Having destroyed much of Iran, the Jews’ US and European wardogs will invade and occupy Iran’s energy fields, the Kurds and Baloch will be permitted to occupy swaths of Iran, and the rest of Iran will be balkanized.

Of course, this horrifies me as a human and American.

Icarus Tanović

Very sorry to disappoint you, but that’s not gonna happen. Because Iran have Nukes. That is the very best deterrence.

Spike? Not good as Cornet, but nevertheless Zionists will cry and rage.

ALDO Korsar

Truth to be told.

The one Iran worked on is based out of older generation (2 or 3rd) spike family.

Whereas newer Spike LR2 and SRs have different yet multipurpose warhead, uncooled IR optics with AI assist. Not to mention RF- data link, that can establish seamless connectivity with airborne assets in proximity.

What Almas has in it will be proved with time. At this point, I would say given Iran’s pronounced precision missile and its own AI development, RF data links and AI might be inputed.

But EO/IR progress seem bit behind at the moment.

Fog of War

Iran has operated the Cobra choppers for decades now, yet they cant reverse engineer it to produce helicopters domestically ?

G2 MAN

Iran initially had 202 Bell/Isfahan AH-1J Cobra armed with twin TOWS and 50 mm rocket pods and a single 20mm Vulcan rotary cannon. These Cobra’s were the workhorse of the Havanirooz (air cavalry) during the war and Iranian forces pioneered some very bold and innovative anti-armor tactics like high angle high speed attack on tank columns that put the fear of God in its enemies. Iranian Cobra’s destroyed over a thousand Iraqi tanks and APC. Iran at the end of 1988 the Havanirooz was left with about 120 Cobra’s and they were quite weathered and worn out due to constant use. Iran rapidly embarked on a domestic production program for its large fleet of US built helicopters.

Since the 1990’s Iran has reverse engineered or produced several Bell Textron rotary models as the 205/206/212/214 with superb design and manufacturing capability. The work done by HESA and PANHA design and manufacture industries is world class. Several hybrid Iranian models are now marketed around the world and include Shahed 276 and 278 along with Shabaviz 275 and 2061. The Iranian Toufan is technically designated PANHA 2091.

Iranian extensive experience in operating and maintaining the Cobra and other Bell helicopters like the 206/212/214 along with over 40 CH-47 Chinooks via the rapidly growing HESA (Iranian helicopter industries) provided Iran with enough technical expertise to develop the Toufan (Typhoon) and now the extremely capable and robust Toufan 2 Super Cobra, uniquely armed with 8 BVE Qaem 114 ATGM with a 8-10kms range and 97% hit probability.

Iran has the largest helicopter fleet in the region and is the top 5 global operator of rotary fleet with over 300 dedicated attack helicopters with the largest base at Kermanshah and several secondary bases on the eastern frontier. Iran is producing around 3 Toufan a month and that production can be ramped up if needed. The Havanirooz intends to have a dedicated attack fleet of over 400 helicopters spread out in a dozen bases over Iran. The newest base at Birjand covers the eastern flank from Chah Bahar to Turkmenistan border.

The Toufan is far more robust and superior to the 70’s AH-1J international sea Cobra ordered by the Shah. The Toufan has totally new controls, FLIR, HUD, more powerful engines and a suite of ECM. It is squared panel reinforced Titanium pilot protection and new bullet proof canopy. A new RWR (radar warning receiver) is now standard so it can even be armed for air interdiction with the Fattar 9X (superior sidewinder) and a variety of ATGM. The Toufan is considered one of the most versatile and deadly attack helicopters in the world.

450.

G2 Man

Iranian rotary fleet is already over a thousand. Iran is the only country outside of Russia that has complete overhaul facilities for the over 100 MI-17 in service in both civilian and military uses. The Russians recently inspected the Isfahan workshop and were very impressed and more Russian heavy lift helicopters are on order.
