In the Dobropolye direction Russian forces have completely cleared the city and shifted the main fighting to Bilozerske, freeing reserves for further offensive operations. In the Sumy direction Russian assault units of the “North” grouping continue to press Ukrainian defenses on the approaches to Sumy, delivering precision strikes against reserves. In the Kharkiv direction Russian units are developing their advance on the Velykyi Burluk–Khatnie sector, recording tactical successes near Harbuzivka and on the Lyptsi line. In the Slavyansk direction Ukrainian units are making unsuccessful attempts to counter-attack from the Kramatorsk area, while Russian troops hold the central part of Dibrova and continue fighting in Krasnyi Lyman. On the Zaporizhzhia front the “Dnepr” grouping is continuing its advance towards the mouth of the Konka River, and units of the “East” grouping are expanding the bridgehead west of Zelena Dibrova. According to a statement by a Kyiv Post journalist, the announced US deliveries of 500 missiles for Patriot systems will not begin before 2030, a development that is causing concern on the Ukrainian side.
Sumy Direction
In the Sumy direction Russian assault units of the “North” grouping continue methodically to press Ukrainian defenses on the approaches to Sumy. Aviation and strike-drone crews have delivered precision strikes against identified concentrations of Ukrainian reserves. The Ukrainian side is seeking ways to infiltrate the rear of Russian forces, employing elite reconnaissance units and special-operations forces for this purpose.
Fierce fighting continues near Velyka Rybitsa and Khotyn. On the border with Bryansk and Kursk regions Russian troops are developing an advance in the Korenok area. The Russian army is destroying Ukrainian positions in the Novodmytrivka area.
In the Shostka district positional fighting has been recorded in the Korenok area, where the advance of Russian assault troops amounted to 100 meters. In the Krasnopillia district artillery and FPV-drone crews struck Ukrainian positions in the direction of Turia, providing support for the advance of Russian assault groups. The use of drones enables Russian units to expose logistical routes and disrupt Ukrainian rotation plans on this sector of the front.
Kharkiv Direction
On all sectors of the front in Kharkiv region the advance of Russian units of the “North” grouping continues. Russian Aerospace Forces aviation has concentrated its efforts on delivering strikes on the Velykyi Burluk–Khatnie sector. The Ukrainian side has not undertaken active operations and has focused its efforts on holding the lines it capturing.
In the Lyptsi direction Russian assault troops have advanced on two sectors through forest plantations, with overall progress of up to 300 meters. On the Vovchansk and Velykyi Burluk directions Russian troops are conducting fierce small-arms fighting in the Prykolotne area. There has been an advance in the Harbuzivka area. Russian units continue to force Ukrainian forces from the positions they hold, employing small-group tactics supported by artillery.
Slavyansk Direction
In Dibrova Russian units are holding positions in the central part and on the western outskirts of the settlement. Ukrainian drones continue to strike the captured built-up area, complicating the further consolidation of Russian groups. In the Ozerne area counter-attacks continue, and the woodland between this settlement and Yampil remains a zone of active fighting.
The Ukrainian side is attempting to expand its presence and restore previously lost positions. In Krasnyi Lyman itself clashes continue within the urban area. On the eastern approaches and in the adjoining forests small groups of both sides are operating. Ukrainian units retain the ability to supply their forces near Ozerne and continue meeting engagements.
The Ukrainian side is attempting to infiltrate into Yampil along the Siverskyi Donets river floodplain in the Ozerne area. Russian troops, for their part, are attempting to finish clearing Dibrova and to establish sustainable logistics into the southern part of Krasnyi Lyman. In the sector of the 20th Army signs of Russian offensive actions are becoming increasingly evident, indicating a gradual shift of tactical initiative on this sector.
Zaporizhzhia Direction
On the northern sector Russian units delivered fire strikes against Ukrainian forces in the areas of Pidhavrylivka, Pokrovske, Novokasianivka, Novoukrainka and Ivanivka. On the north-western sector units of the “East” grouping continue to advance west of Shevchenkivske, Holubkove and Svitla Dolyna. West of Zelena Dibrova Russian assault units continue to expand the bridgehead on the western bank of the Verkhnia Tersa River. In the Barvinivka and Voskresenka areas fighting remains intense, indicating the strategic importance of this sector for both sides.
Dobropolye Direction
In the sector of the “Centre” grouping south of Dobropolye fighting is under way in Serhiivka. Russian units are attempting to finish off this key strongpoint. Fighting has begun in Shylivka, further west of Huleve, in the direction of Krutoyarivka. Krutoyarivka is effectively already the border of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
Intense fighting continues north of Dobropolye, primarily in the Bilozerske area. Dobropolye was completely cleared by Russian units the previous day. Organized resistance there no longer exists. What remains is the gradual detection of residual isolated groups. The main fighting has shifted to Bilozerske. This is the last mining town further north. Russian units have established themselves in the southern part of the town and are fighting for the center.
It is significant that Dobropolye has been finished off. This will have a positive effect on the further advance northwards. The units freed up here will very soon be able to be redeployed further north and take part in the offensive. It will then be possible finally to attempt to break resistance along the Oskil River line and to develop an advance northwards, bypassing the Druzhkivka–Kramatorsk–Slovyansk agglomeration. This creates the preconditions for a change in the operational-strategic situation across the entire left bank.
Conclusion
The most significant event of operational scale has been the complete clearance of Dobropolye, which allows the Russian command to free part of its forces for the development of success on the northern flank and the creation of a threat to outflank the large Druzhkivka–Kramatorsk–Slovyansk agglomeration. At the same time, in the Slavyansk direction Ukrainian units continue to expend reserves in unsuccessful counter-attacks from the Kramatorsk area, which only contributes to their further attrition. On the Zaporizhzhia front Russian forces are methodically expanding bridgeheads, approaching key water obstacles and logistical hubs, which in the longer term may lead to the envelopment of the Orikhiv grouping.
Particular attention is warranted by the situation surrounding Western arms deliveries. The deliveries of 500 missiles for Patriot air defense systems announced by the US State Department, as reported by Kyiv Post journalist Alex Raufoglu citing informed sources, will not begin before 2030. Earlier the US State Department announced approval of the potential sale to Ukraine of 500 PAC-3 air defense missiles for Patriot systems and related equipment, with a total value of approximately $2.1 billion, to be financed by Kyiv’s partners and allies. “The PAC-3 missiles for Patriot announced by the United States come with a serious caveat: these are new missiles whose delivery is not expected before 2030,” the journalist wrote.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in his Telegram channel, complained about the protracted delivery timelines for the missiles, stating that the deliveries would take place only in several years’ time, and added that this “could have been” a very effective assistance package. This fact demonstrates the gap between political statements of support and the real capabilities of the defense-industrial base, which, under conditions of intensive combat, places Ukrainian units in a vulnerable position in the face of Russian air attacks.
