On March 19, Egyptian Army spokesman Colonel Tamer Rifai announced in an official statement that the Egyptian Army had killed 36 ISIS fighters and had arrested 345 suspects during its ongoing military operation in the Sinai Peninsula – “Sinai 2018”. The Egyptian Army also destroyed 17 vehicles, 67 motorcycles and a VBIED of ISIS, according to Col. Rifai.
Col. Rifai also announced that warplanes of the Egyptian Air Force (EAF) had destroyed 12 positions and vehicles of ISIS in Sinai. Moreover, the Egyptian Army’s units discovered and destroyed 386 hideouts of the terrorist group.
During its security operations, the Egyptian Army removed 93 IEDs and mines, which had been planted by ISIS and captured loads of weapons and ammunition in different areas of Sinai, according to Col. Rifai.

The Sinai Peninsula witnessed a significant decrease in ISIS attacks against civilians and the Egyptian Army during the last two weeks. This reflects a success of the Egyptian Army’s operations there.

According to sources on the ground, there isn’t really an IS presence on the Sinai peninsula. IS is just a straw man for an operation that’s intended to get military aid and stop supply to Palestinian militants. So Egypt is doing this to get money from the US and do a favour to Israel.
There is an IS presence in the Sinai peninsula, and they have killed numerous military and civilian personnel. The only “obvious” thing here is that youre a delusional tinfoil hat wearing jihadist sympathizer.

it makes me glad to see that the General means business in Sinai. Took a great risk there since casualties are to be expected and noone wants that (public opinion that is) but he is determined to make Egypt safe again. The whole world is watching….give those fanatics hell!
