Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham Postpones Plan To Open Crossing With Government-held Area After Backlash

Al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) has postponed a plan to open a crossing with the government-held area after a backlash from opposition supporters and hardliners in Greater Idlib.

HTS’ Salvation Government planned to open the crossing near the government-held town of Saraqib in southeast Idlib on April 18 morning. The plan to open the Saraqib crossing was met with a backlash from many in Greater Idlib. They opposed HTS’ idea for different reasons.

Imad Al-Din Mujahid, HTS’ public relations director, claimed that the opening of the Saraqib crossing could ease the recession in Greater Idlib and benefit the locals there.

“Many merchants asked to open the commercial crossing through the Sarmin-Saraqib area,” Mujahid said, adding “the large population bloc in Idlib governorate does not live on an island cut off from the means of life and its needs.”

While some opposition activists saw the crossing as a recognition of the Damascus government, hardliners saw it as a betrayal of dozens of militants who were killed in the Saraqib battle.

HTS’ plan was also rejected by some local medical organizations, which claimed that the crossing could facilitate the spread of novel coronavirus. At least 38 COVID-19 cases were reported in government-held area as of April 18.

The opponents of the crossing released many statements smearing HTS and even calling for a sit-in near Saraqib. In response, the terrorist group placed its forces in the area on high-alert.

HTS’ plan to open the crossing has damaged the terrorist group’s public image among Greater Idlib hardliners. Aside from this, the group could face financial difficulties, if it fails to turn this plan into reality.

BREAKING News! US P-8 Poseidon recon planes have HACKED the S-400 in Syria by cracking its operating frequencies/codes! US Airforce now knows all it needs to bypass it. Game over, Russkies!

Willing Conscience (The Truths

LOL Mustapha, you know the Russians haven’t activated their S-400’s at all, they still operate in a passive mode, not even once have they been fully activated, there’s been no reason too, the Syrian’s air radar systems provide the necessary data. And besides, since that incident where the Russian plane was accidentally hit they Israelis haven’t dared make any unannounced sortis, the Russian know exactly what the Israelis are doing all the time, the Israelis tell them everything, LOL. And don’t you think Erdogan’s already divulged info to the US concerning the S-400’s, that treacherous turd’s already told the US everything they need to know, hopefully the Russians sold Erdogan some systems that doesn’t use the same operating systems all the others do, a special one just for the Turks.

It is actually good news. We will reopwn entire Idlibe, whwn we liberate entire region and trapped people in there.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

What a load of BS, HTS isn’t anywhere near Saraqib, they have no forces in the area, this is solely controlled by the Turkish backed SNA and NFL. Arihah is the furthest east that HTS has any presence, and that’s at least 25 km away from Saraqib, the SNA and NFL control Nayrab and Sarmin which are the closest to Saraqib and only 7 km away. So how can HTS have any say in what does or doesn’t happen here, this is SNA and NFL controlled territory, and they’re supposed to do exactly what the Turks tell them, so I don’t understand what the hell this story is saying, it makes no sense at all, unless of course it’s trying to blame HTS for not doing something the Turks are actually fully in control of, trying to shift the blame away from Turkey, that’s all I get from this article.

Redadmiral

HTS almost doing it’s Masters’ bidding, Yeah Right !!! The Time has come for Russia to completely secure Idlib airspace and to tell Err Dog 1, the SAA are going to remove the good the bad and the ugly terrorists from their country and if they try interfering they too will be removed in body-bags
