Heavy Israeli strikes hit southern Lebanon on December 13 as Hezbollah carried out a new wave of cross-border attacks.

The strikes hit the vicinity of the towns of Kafr Kila, Labouneh, Naqoura, Al-Bustan, Marwahin and Ramia. Videos posted to social media showed thick black plumes of smoke rising into the air after the strikes. Lebanese media didn’t report any casualties. However, Hezbollah said that one of its fighters was killed “on the road to Jerusalem.”

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said that its fighter jets hit a number of sites belonging to Hezbollah, and ground forces struck several cells of the group along the Lebanon border.

The strikes took place amid a wave of attacks by Hezbollah. The group said that its fighters targeted gatherings of Israeli troops in the border sites of al-Manara and al-Dhahira. It also announced attacks on the Naqoura nava site, Shumira barracks, Ramia site and said that its fighters fired a Burkan heavy rocket at the site of al-Malikiyah.

According to Hezbollah, the attacks were carried out “to support the steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their brave and honorable resistance.”

Hezbollah’s Military Media also released video footage showing a recent attack on two gatherings of Israeli troops in the settlement of Metula.

Clashes on the Lebanese-Israeli border first broke out last October when Hezbollah and its allies began launching attacks against the IDF from southern Lebanon in support of Gaza.

As of December 13, the clashes on the Lebanese front have claimed the lives of 141 people, including six IDF soldiers, 99 fighters of Hezbollah, 13 fighters from Hamas and Islamic Jihad, a soldier from the Lebanese Armed Forces and at least 14 Lebanese civilians.

the latest attack on gaza and the people of palestine will no doubt be regarded as historical by the isreali apartheid regime. for everyone else it will regarded as infamy. the isreali apartheid regime will never be able to wash off the stains from its history.

best & only truely honorable thing to do for hezbollah, syria &iraqi resistance forces would be to fully storm & retake the golan heights now. it is syrian territory anyway and internationally recognized as such.moreover such an event would force idf to throw heavy numbers of troops to this direction -thereby weakening the amount they have for raiding gaza.so by such a move arabic states & resistance movements would really prove loyalty to islam & to the falestinian people !

i agree. i’m sure something is in the air. the genocide of the palestinian people cannot go unanswered. besides, this regime in isreal has a habit of attacking its neighbours over any little thing. all neighbours of the isreali apartheid regime know it’s only a matter of time before they run foul of this regime, which never seems to be satisfied.
