Houthi Leader Says Group Launched 200 Drones, 50 Missiles In Support Of Gaza

Abdul Malik al-Houthi, the leader of Yemen’s Houthis (Ansar Allah), said on January 25 that the group had launched over 200 suicide drones and 50 missiles against Israel and ships in support of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, promising to go on with military operations.

In a televised speech, the leader said that recent strikes on Yemen by the United States and the United Kingdom would not deter the Houthis from continuing their Red Sea operations, noting that the group’s attacks did not influence international maritime trade in the Red Sea since 4,874 ships had passed through the key commerce corridor.

“Our country will continue its operations until all Gaza inhabitants have access to food and medicine, and the Israeli atrocity ceases … The escalation by the U.S. and the UK will be unproductive and have no bearing on our decisions or positions,” al-Houthi said. “Our battle is ongoing and is entirely linked to the Gaza battle.”

The leader also said that the U.S. is attempting to “justify its aggression against our country and its protection of Zionist crimes,” under the pretext of protecting international navigation.

Since November, the Houthis have seized an Israel-affiliated commercial ship and launched drone and missile attacks on 24 others in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Oman. The group’s attacks were a response to the Israeli war and siege on Gaza, which has so far claimed the lives of more than 25,000 Palestinains.

The U.S. and the UK retaliated to the Houthis’ attacks by carrying out dozens of strikes on military targets on Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen in recent weeks. However, as evident by al-Houthi’s recent remarks, the group remains undeterred.

After the outbreak of the war in Yemen, the Houthis built a large arsenal of offensive weapons, including suicide drones as well as ballistic and cruise missiles, with alleged help from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

where they go, you see chaos. the empire of chaos is how the english, american and jewish cannot help but to sow it in their fields, their roads and their minds. but sowing in their minds is not the main issue. allowing the mind to not control it, its their main issue

quite soon the houthi’s are going to realise that they would get more results by firing hundreds of drones and missiles at the same target. do that once or twice at the right target and the world would soon take note. better than slowly wasting these drones and missiles to the sea and to us/nato target practice.
