Al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) seized more weapons from the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) during clashes in the southeastern Idlib countryside on January 17.

The terrorist group’s news network, Iba’a, shared photos of the seized weapons, which included:

HTS fighters launched a series of successful-counter attacks in southeast Idlib on January 16 and 17, recapturing the towns of Tell Khatrah and Abu Jurayf as well as the hilltop of Mustayf. The three areas were captured by the SAA in the early morning of January 16.

The terrorist group and its allies may launch more small attacks soon in order to take advantage of the confusion among the SAA’s ranks.

More than 48 hours ago the SAA resumed its operations in Greater Idlib. However, it’s still unclear if the army is planning to launch a large ground offensive in the region.
