The map above is being actively shared by Armenian sources as a visualization of the transport corridors that should be reopened in the Nagorno-Karabkah region. Armenia will get a transport link with Russia while Azerbaijan’s mainland will be linked with Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (and thus Turkey) via a corridor in southern Armenia.

The implementation of the transport corridors projects is intended to contribute to the further stabilization of the situation in the region and contribute to the establishment of peace despite the existing contradictions between Baku and Yerevan. Nonetheless, the full implementation of this concept even under the supervision of Russia will require a lot of efforts and good will from the sides.

Frankly, what has Azerbaijan or Turkey won? It appears that Russia is the biggest winner.

It is a shame that Putin took upon himself to hand over Nagorno-Karabakh to Azerbaijan. Hi is such a huge winner that Russia forever lost historically friendly, Christian Armenian nation in exchange for a temporary and fake friendship with Turkic Azerbaijan. If he is a such an admirer of the international law the first thing he should do is to return stolen and occupied territories to UN members and sovereign states of Ukraine and Georgia. Yes, Putin and Russia are such big winners that even Belarussian people wish to go all the while NATO is knocking on the gates of Moscow. Isn’t that beautiful?

To stay with the truth: Armenia was in the recent years less friendly towards Russia than Azerbaijan.

Armenia agreeing to the corridors to/from Azerbaijan and the Autonomous Republic “and thus Turkey” is a long term mistake. It could be balanced with corridors to/from Armenia and Russia through northern Azerbaijan.
