This is Not only gruesome but most unusual in any conflict zone. The sort of events seen in parts of Africa during communal violence. But the fact that bodies of Ukrainian service personnel were put on to burning tyres or set alight there after. Makes me think that those responsible. May have done so to hide a possible crime! Why not give these men a normal Christian burial? It is most unusual. The Ukrainian authorities will have a list of those missing of killed in action. So it may be possible to identify the remains . It may also be possible that those involved in this incident can be identified. A horrific and completely unnecessary and unwarranted incident.

Many “remains” from the tower destructions on 9/11 were identified…though it boggles the mind how. Seems plenty is left over here for ID, but it won’t be recovered and stored, so probably not.
Notice the teeth appear removed, that’s normally the best source of DNA. Whoever this was, the Ukrainians didn’t want the Russians to find out.

It is important to remember that many of these AFU troops were cannon fodders (given a rifle, a magazine, no training, minimal if any rations and sent to the front lines).

My guess is they burned the bodies of foreign mercenaries. They historically leave their own dead behind but not burnt. Poland send two battalions and I read 70% of them are now dead these may be some of them.
It does make sense to get rid of bodies of mercenaries or even more probable NATO active duty personnel. They may have even been instructed to do so from NATO itself.

Yes, I think your explanation is correct. Burning these bodies with tires and gasoline makes it impossible to identify the DNA to determine exactly who it was. They also removed the teeth! It was carefully done to make it impossible to identify the person. Most likely foreign mercenaries or NATO/US Army soldiers who were killed in action and they wanted to hide the evidence from Russians.
