It is not rear that Russian servicemen save lives of their enemies. The rescue operation of another wounded Ukrainian soldier, who was abandoned by his comrades, was filmed by Russian servicemen.
During an intense close battle, a group of Russian servicemen spotted a Ukrainian soldier lying on the ground, who likely attempted to surrender. When the Russians understood that the wounded could not come to them, they decided to pull him out from under Ukrainian fire. There were two Ukrainian servicemen firing nearby. Risking their lives, they saved the wounded, cheered him up and were surprised that he had no ammunition with them.
that is de right battlecode, when a soldier have been made inactive by the bullets but still alive/wounded it is everybodies duty to help and assist, whoever it is! the russians still maintain this battlecode. respect!
ukrainian soldiers might say it is an honor to fight as a ukrainian soldier against a russian solder. despite both sides dislike wars. of course ss-azov-gestapo have been exempted from this rule.

they are not “white men” only. they are slavic, orthodox (in majority) having same ethnic roots. it is not responsibility of the west only, but also responsibility of the kremlin and putin. they did not know or did not want to defend russian interests against the west in ukraine.
they didn’t care about ukraine. all that was important for them was crimea. even in istanbul (agreement) they waned to give away donbas and everything else under russian control (except crimea) in exchange for measly promise that ukraine will not enter nato pact!
i think you are wrong . “measly” promise would have sure not been enough . neutrality of ukraine is essential. without nato meddling in the conflict, there would have been a chance to live peacefully together in donbass within ukraine. that’s why no need to integrate these regions to russia. this is no “give away” but sign of confidence like between sweden and finland with a minority of swedish living in finland.
