On the morning of May 24, the Armed Forces of Ukraine attempted to attack Russian reconnaissance ship Ivan Khurs of the Black Sea Fleet. The ship was ensuring the safety of the Turkish Stream and Blue Stream gas pipelines in the economic zone of Turkey.
Three unmanned boats targeted the ship at about 5.30 am local time. The incident took place 140 kilometers northeast of the Bosphorus.
As a result of response fire, the attack failed. All Ukrainian boats were destroyed by fire from the standard armament of the Russian ship:

Similar unmanned boats were earlier used to attack Russian ship in the Sevastopol bay. They ahve a range of up to 1000 km. Presumably, the grain deal corridor was again used for the attack.

yes, it is possible but russia intelligence would detect immediately the plane. it would be nice to know where those those unmanned boats come from, how did they arrive there ? who and how are they controlled ?

having ukrainian grain going through makes waterways a bit safer from mines and this makes coastline a bit easier to access. however we will know when russia lands at odessa, they will bomb the hell out of the beach heads and forward positions. before that, targets will be heavily bombed.

why were they attacking such a low value target ship such as this (an navy high seas armed tugboat) instead of an combat one like an frigate or corvete?

the fire from the cannon or machine gun is quite inaccurate given how close in and large the target was. if this is all a ciws system can do, forget about the idea of shooting down incoming missiles.
where did those boats come from ? how and who were they driven ?
