Israel will not allow Iran to deploy “very advanced” missiles in Syria or to establish itself as a military force in the war-torn country, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed on March 28.
“Iran is constantly trying to place in Syria precision long-range missile [sic] that are very advanced and highly lethal missiles. We are not prepared to accept this. Our activity against Iran’s attempt to establish military bases in Syria and to place advanced weapons there, continues all the time” Netanyahu said, according to Sputnik.
The Israeli PM refused to confirm Israel’s responsibility for an aerial attack that targeted several military positions northeast of the Syrian city of Aleppo in the late hours of March 27.
According to an official statement by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA), the attack was carried out by the Israeli Air Force (IAF). Israeli media confirmed these claims and said that the attack targeted alleged positions of Iranian forces.
Earlier this week, Netanyahu succeeded in extracting a recognition of Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights from the U.S. However, he is apparently planning to further escalate the situation in Syria, likely to overcome the internal pressure he is facing.

Very advance missiles are in Iran, and Iran does not need to move some of them to Syria. Iran has shown already how effective and precise are their missiles.

When America and its Allies made a military plan to take over Syria and secure Israel along the Syrian East border, you cannot go in and build up Iranian military bases with precision missiles in the middle of Syria and along the Golan Hight, and tell everybody “Iran is fighting ISIS”.
