Israeli troops shot dead two unarmed Palestinian men at close range in the Gaza Strip, then buried their bodies in sand and rubbish using a military bulldozer, video footage aired by Al Jazeera on March 27 has shown.
Before being shot, the two men were waving what appeared to be white fabric, in a sign of surrender and to show they were not armed.
According to Al Jazeera, the men were killed and buried close to the Nabulsi Roundabout, southwest of Gaza City. They were just trying to return to their homes in the north of the Strip via al-Rashid Street, the only possible route.
The Hamas Movement, which runs Gaza, condemned the killings, saying that it was “further evidence of the scale of fascism and criminality that governs Zionist behavior, in the context of the brutal war of extermination against our people in the Gaza Strip”.
It also called on the International Criminal Court to take “necessary measures” to hold Israel accountable for “the crimes they commit against children and defenseless civilians”.
In addition, the group stressed any ceasefire agreement in the Strip must include the right of Palestinians to return to their homes safely without being shot at by Israeli troops.
From its side, the Israeli Defense Forces told Al Jazeera on March 28 that “a thorough and professional examination is required in order to assess the details of the incident”, adding that it had transferred its report “to the relevant professional bodies for review”.
Al Jazeera aired the shocking footage just hours after the health ministry in Gaza announced that the Palestinian death toll from the Israeli war on the Strip had reached 32,490 with more than 74,889 others wounded. Most of the victims were reported to be women and children.
In addition to the high number of casualties, the Israeli war has pushed 85% of Gaza’s population into internal displacement amid acute shortages of food, clean water, and medicine, while 60% of the Strip’s infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed, according to the United Nations.
Despite the presence of much evidence documenting Israeli war crimes in Gaza, including a video aired by Al Jazeera earlier this month that showed Israeli drones murdering four unarmed Palestinian youth, the United States and other Western backers of the war are yet to change their stance.

you make a very good point which may explain what is going on in the west right now. i include israel in that. the nazis great economic and welfare reforms, aside from the discriminatory policies against jews, communists etc, started the hit the buffers by 1938. the nazis needed war to sustain their economy and it seems as though the west hit this stage in the 1990s. the nazis then moved to full fledged genocide by 1942 when the war started going badly. the west is clearly entering this phase.
