Yes, though my impression is that this tank, is rather just a copy of one the Abram’s first variants. Probably the A1 with further modifications made by the South Koreans.

To me old abrams are unike because of being relative silent by gas turbines and ufortunatly because of that low range.

The Black Panther is one of the most expensive tanks in the world and reputedly one of the best, Hydroneumatic suspension like the S tank and many other highly advanced features, looks like a smaller M1 but far more suitable especially in mountainous Korea. The diesel makes it go over twice as far or twice the endurance of an Abrams, active anti missile countermeasures, digitised networked comms etc etc etc A Kia it aint.
