Kiev forces launched a series of rocket and drone attacks against four different Russian regions on May 9 as people were commemorating victory against Nazi Germany in WWII.
In a morning statement, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that air defenses intercepted 15 Czech-made RM-70 rockets and a suicide drone over the Belgorod region and shot down two more drones over the Bryansk region and three others over the Kursk.
The ministry announced in two other statements released later in the morning that four more drones were intercepted over Belgorde.
Four additional drones were shot down over the region in the afternoon, according to a separate statement released by the ministry.
At least eight people, including an 11-year-old girl, were injured in Belgorod as a result of one of the morning attacks, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on his official Telegram channel.
Dozens of apartments in multi-storey buildings and a private house were also damaged in the city of Belgorod, the governor added. Some of the buildings suffered direct hits, with video footage of the aftermath showing extensive damage.
In a separate attack, at least six drones targeted in the early morning an oil facility near Anapa in the Krasnodar region, according to local emergency services. The attack reportedly caused some damage and triggered a fire, but resulted in no injuries.
Ukraine stepped up attacks on Russian territory with the start of the year, targeting mainly civilian properties and infrastructure, usually using drones either supplied directly by NATO backers or made locally from commercial models and parts.
The Kiev regime apparently views these attacks as a way to make up for the never ending failures of its forces on the battlefields.
The Russian military has already resumed missile and drone strikes against Ukraine in response. Much of the country’s military infrastructure and power grid have been hit.

should concentrate on those territories who are likely to join nato/ eu after the war. the far west which was the place the banderist ideology commes from. as of now the banderist losses are minimal. most conscripts of ukraine are forced ones from the formerly pro russian regions as are the battlegrounds. if just like after world war 2 the russians let the west have mostly undamaged territories while they keep the fully destroyed ones the usa won this war.
