Clashes continued on the Lebanon front on October 29, with Hezbollah launching attacks and the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) carrying out strikes.
Hezbollah said in two separate statements that its fighters targeted the military sites of Migav Am and al-Sammaqa with “suitable weapons”. According to the group, military equipment was destroyed at Migav Am and al-Sammaqa received direct hits.
In another statement, Hezbollah said that its fighters uncovered an IDF infantry unit that was operating near Al-Malikiyah military site then attacked it with “suitable weapons”.
Three rocket attacks were also launched from southern Lebanon during the day. A salvo of rockets targeted the northern Israeli settlements of Malkia and Arab al-Aramshe, causing no injuries.
Three rockets were also fired in the direction of the Upper Galilee settlements of Tuba-Zangariyye, Rosh Pina, Ayelet Hashahar and Hatzor Haglilit. According to the IDF, two of the projectiles were intercepted by air defenses, while the third landed in an open area, causing no damage. Later, a salvo was fired at the city of Qiryat Shemona. Hezbollah didn’t claim responsibility for the rocket fire.
The IDF said that a drone strike targeted a cell in southern Lebanon that launched the rockets. It also announced that fighter jets hit a Hezbollah position in response to the rocket attack. Lebanese media reported an airstrike near the town of Aalma al-Chaeb, two on Mount Sadanah and another on Bastra Farm.
Earlier, the IDF said that it struck a cell that attempt to launch an attack with an anti-tank guided missile from southern Lebanon at the settlement of Avivim.
In addition to the strikes, the IDF artillery shelled Majidiya plain as well as the villages of Zibqin, al-Shaitiya, Halta, al-Khiyam, Kfarshouba, Shanouh, al-Mari and Aita al-Shaab. Illumination rounds were used in an attempt to start fires at heavily wooded areas. No casualties were reported however.

Since the October 7 Hamas-led surprise attack from the Gaza Strip, Hezbollah and its allies have had near-daily exchanges of fire with the IDF along the Israeli-Lebanese border.
The clashes on the Lebanon front have so far claimed the lives of seven Israelis -six soldiers and one civilian- 45 fighters of Hezbollah, two fighters from the Lebanese Resistance Brigades, seven Palestinian fighters -three from the Hamas Movement and four from the Islamic Jihad- and four Lebanese civilians -two elderly men and two journalists-.
The IDF is now expanding its ground operations in Gaza. This could lead to more escalation on the Lebanon front as Hezbollah and its allies could step up attacks.

iran isn’t libya buddy, iran has air defense capabilities and the systems are modern. and that’s where libya failed was having an adequate ads.
iran’s biggest advantage isn’t air defenses. it’s powerful card is the ability to bomb saudi and emirati puppet armies out of power and cause a regionwide revolution that ends the petrodollar status quo. this is why america hasn’t attempted an invasion of iran like it did iraq.
you do realize that the us would be hard pressed bombing iran. they have a very advanced aa system. and have satellites i’m sufficient numbers. also they have a large stock of anti ship missiles with potential ranges up to 1000km. furthermore, you can guarantee russia would be providing iran with us fleet locations and targeting information, payback for ukraine.
good observation. russia will take its revenge on america for what happened in ukraine. even for this reason alone, the u.s. will do everything to prevent such a war. then there’s the arab puppets to think of. they are silent now, but they are the real cause america is in the middle east murdering muslims. iran shouldn’t spare saudi arabia and the uae if war breaks out. damn any normalizations. if the saudis and emiratis remain standing after a war with iran, america still isn’t defeated.

interesting viewpoint, but you missed the fact that iran doesn’t become powerless without hezbollah. iran’s ability to bring the saudis and emiratis to their knees is the primary reason america hasn’t attacked it. hezbollah cannot stop a u.s. invasion of iran. but iran’s ability to topple america’s arab puppet government can sto that invasion.

because of these actions by hezbollah the detection of mass hezbollah missile launches will be delayed, so there will be little or no warning before impact in israel and this also means hezbollah can fire more missiles from 1 site before any return fire
and if enough missiles are fired there will be no return fire as the sources of return fire will be destroyed first.

the projectiles are not the issue. there’s just 0 anti air and israeli jets are flying into capital cities of multiple countries without repercussions and drones are buzzing overhead in perpetuity.
you do realize that all these rockets are unguided in large numbers draining the israeli aa systems. they already said they need more missiles, there is a very limited number to have also. once these are depleted you will see strikes on airbase and airports become more prevalent. hezbollah has 10s of thousands of missiles and they haven’t even begun yet.
