A brief overview of the recent developments in the Nagorno-Karabakh region:
- As of December 2, 27,000 displaced persons have returned to their homes in Karabakh with the assistance of Russian peacekeepers;
- As of December 2, Russia reported that more than 34 hectares of land and about 12 kilometers of roads were cleared from mines and IEDs and 1077 explosive objects were found and destroyed;
- As of December 2, about 70 local residents turned for medical help to specialists of the special medical unit of the Russian Ministry of Defence deployed in the airport of Stepanakert;
- As of December 2, more than 100 military medical specialists, including military surgeons, anesthesiologists, resuscitators, therapists and epidemiologists, were deployed as a part of the special medical unit in the Stepanakert field hospital.
