The Russian military launched early on May 8 a large-scale group strike against energy and military instructors in Ukraine, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced.
The strike was carried out in response to recent attempts by the Kiev regime to damage Russian power facilities, the ministry said in its daily briefing, adding that air and sea launched missiles, including hypersonic Khinzal missiles, as well as drones were used.
“The goal of the strike has been achieved. All the assigned targets have been engaged,” the ministry said.
According to the ministry, the strike crippled Ukraine’s ability to produce military hardware and deliver Western-made weaponry and military hardware to the front.
The Kiev regime said that more than 50 missiles and 20 drones were used in the Russian strike and claimed that most of them were intercepted. Nevertheless, heavy damage was reported in several regions of the country by Ukrainian enterprises and officials.
Ukraine’s largest energy provider, DTEK, acknowledged at least three thermal power plants were “seriously damaged” in the strike.
The country’s Minister of Energy also said that the strike could cause ” limitations to energy supply” for industrial consumers.
The Russian strikes focused on key energy and transport sites in Kiev, Vinnytsia, Poltava, Kirovohrad, Zaporizhzhia, Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv, Ukrainian officials said, adding that Soviet-era powerplants and gas storage facilities were among the targets.
The Russian military resumed large-scale strikes against Ukraine in March following a series of of provocations by the Kiev regime, including dozens of strikes with rockets, missiles and suicide drones on Russian territory as well as several unsuccessful cross-border attacks.
Recent Russian strikes inflicted heavy losses on Kiev forces and caused some serious damage to Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.

m-m, i have something to say about eu-tards. have you read recent report about closing nuclear power plants in germany? its conclusions quite opposite to what german authorities and political parties leaders said to us.corrupt politicians said it’s dangerous to have npps, because putin slams poor nazis and can hit these npps. but offical report say there is no danger. so npps were closed only by the order of corrupt “greens” and their allies in actual government. eurotards as is!
